I dont know if I should post this but it has a moral to it.
So I was at pick n pull yesterday trying to get some camber and toe adjuster bolts for my HICAS Delete/ ABS delete/ 5 lug conversion etc. I had my wrench on the bolt I was trying to get pulling as hard as I could cause my wrench was too small and something broke. I had my hand inside the hole where the shock would normally go through the upper control arm and normally when I bang my hand on something I get a pain so bad it feels like I am going to throw up, but this one was different. It didnt really hurt so it took me a while to look down and to my suprise I had a gaping gash in my hand that was spewing blood! :tweak: So I took my hoodie off and wrapped it tight around my hand and yelled for my buddy who was looking at the honda parts and we rushed to the hospital. Well an hour and a half later (stupid kaiser) I had 10 stitches and an x-ray saying I hadn't broken anything.
After cleaning, before stitches

Day 2 with stitches

he probably would have just ended up with just a painful lil scar instead of gash if he wore gloves.
anyhow though...hope your hand recovers asap to get back to cutting yourself again with THE NISSAN.

Damn that is a gash. I've never seen a pic of someone's actual bone while they were alive. Can't say I ever want to again.

In HS got a nasty gash like that on my pinky during a fist fight. 10 stitches and a tetnus. (My hand caught him in the mouth busted my hand clean open).
Ouch.

Damn, that would hurt too, but atleast u had some adrenalin pumpin, I didnt.
But yea got a tetnus too.
It stopped hurting when a kid in my astronomy class I used to know showed me the scars from where he had his entire thumb cut off.
After that I felt like a wimp.
Edit: Did you whoop him?

I think with that kind of gash, not even my kevlar gloves from work would have saved him....
When in doubt get a bigger wrench.:keke: hope you get some feeling back in that hand, or maybe you could give yourself a stranger for the rest of your life.lol

Its pretty much using force that worries me. Everytime I need to bust out a breaker bar or I know Ill have trouble losening up a bolt, I first inspect every part around it and see what can possible injure me while using excessive force. Its pretty much like you said, safety first and also make sure you have patience, when you dont is when you get hurt

Well I went back today and got what I was looking for, these four bolts:
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f218/tknbkthrsdy4anfg/01-24-07_2055.jpg
Quote from Napa Nissan: $120
Cost from Pick n pull: $2 admission + $2.50 for bolts + 10 stitches
Savings of $114.50
Secondary moral to the story:
Before you buy something from the dealership, go to pick n pull and see if you can get it there!
Kaizen.
