My Phone Fell in the Toilet.

So last night I was washing my hands. My phone rang and i went to pick it up. Unfortunatly it slipped out of my hand and fell into the toilet.

Well today i went out and bought the new pocket PC from verizon, but unfortunatly all 500 of my contacts were lost.

another reason why verizon blows, altho cingular isnt the best, I love to have a little saftey backup on the card

now that you have a smart phone, you can Sinc it to your pc, and it will auto update and save all your contacts.

well is sucks that verizon doesnt have sim cards so u can save ur contacts so incase something like this happens...but then again, sometimes i think my tmobile sucks, cuz verizon always has dope phones...oh well u win some, u lose some

ahhh the pocket PC from verizon reminds of me the MDA that i had got from tmobile...if it is, besure to upgrade that memory card...u can find the best deals on 1-2gb mini SDs on www.nextag.com just search "1GB mini SD" i got mine for $14 shipped

vzw offers free backup protection now on normal phones. download Backup Assistant thru Get It Now. and sign up for My Account online. and it will backup all ur contacts for free. and u can even print out ur list or if you get a new phone have all the contacts on ur my account sent to ur new phone. this is normal phones only. does not apply to PDAs

the phone may seem to work, but it will die soon after. if water touching the charging port it will corrode[sp?] very easy. ull see green shit all over it. you can even a phone with water damage juss by leaving it in the restroom while u shower or something. moist hands can give it water damage as well.

They cant recover the contacts at the store? Its not like the memory was erased, the phone just no longer functions. Flash memory wont be ruined by water.

most likely not. say it still holds memory, if the UI or the phoen doesnt boot up correctly it wont work. the phones NEEDS to be working entirely to get it off. also they plug a cable into the charging port where you charge your phone, and the data is taken off that way. so even if the UI boots up, and the port at the bottom is all rusty and fugly, it still wont work.

this happened to my friend one time... if i recall correctly for a certain price, verizon can get the contacts from your old phone.. not quite sure though.

you gotta be kidding me. Verizon phones usually suck. They have terrible selection and are always last to get on board with the newer phones.
T-Mobile was behind the curve around 9 months ago but now has some very cool phones. Between Cingular and T-Mobile they are having a constant battle now to see who can bring out the coolest GSM phones. Oh ya GSM is also the world standard so having Cingular or T-mobile leaves you open to a lot more unlocked cool phones as well.

Since you have Verizon...they offer a FREE backup assistant program. All you have to do is have an online account to access your statements, and/or pay bills online....no extra charge and not hard at all.

I have VZW..that's why I mention this.
