Uh, is your crank case breather blocked? Are you overfilled on oil?

Make sure you are not pressurizing the crank case, make sure the breather is not clogged, and that the B+PVC valve is good like stated up there,

Blow-By, piston rings are goin out I had the same thing happen with my Hachi, I fried the rings on 3 pistons, From doin 9,000RPMs on my old engine before the Kouki swap :p

mine was due to cracked ring (4th)...
hopefully yours is something less severe

my buddys shop car did the same thing it was blow by on one of the piston rings he didnt think mutch about it till his engine went pop at the track about five minutes later. do a compression test or a leak down test good luck

thanks guys. if it was a piston ring wouldnt i be getting some smoke out of the exhaust?

PCV is $8 replace that before worrying about a blown motor.

leakdown test will tell you if it's the rings...

the engine needs to breath, that's way is popping your dip stick, my homies car is doing the same thing up till this date, check the breather and pcv.

if the o-ring on the dip-stick is bad, could that be causing it? also where can i get a pcv for a s14 sr??

Not necessarily. The compression ring could be bad, but the oil ring could still be good. The different rings on the piston perform different functions. Replace your PCV valve first and make sure your breather hose is hooked up correctly and not kinked.

No, a bad o-ring should not cause the dipstick to pop-up. The PCV valve and breather hose are there to evacuate eccesive crankcase pressure. As for where contact Justin @ west covina nissan, his SN is westco justin.

Sounds like too much Viagra.

do you have a hose going from your valve cover to your intake snorkel?

so if its the rings your screwed and forced to do a rebuild right?
how much would the cost be?

Depends on what is damaged.

Probably $1200 - 2200 for a shop to do it right.

I am sure everyone has a cousin that could do it for $500 though.

........basic functions of relieving crankcase pressure....under vacuum, your intake manifold vacuum sucks the gases from your valve cover. under boost your pcv valve closes.....so how does it relieve positive crankcase pressure under boost??.....

well your turbo's ingesting air, creating suction/"vacuum" that is why there is a hose going from your valve cover to your turbo....sometimes you get a little blow by and don't want your turbo sucking in oil.....so you get an oil catch can and install it midline from the valve cover to your intake snorkel......now you have positive crankcase pressure being relieved under vacuum as well as under boost......

definately helps keep your dipstick in place ^.-
