Hey guys,
I'm new to the silvia scene and am seriously thinking about purchasing a USDM S14 and converting it to a Silvia (and possibly putting a S15 front end on it). I've been doing lots of research but have a some questions that haven't been answered yet.

1. Is it possible to make the s14 a/c system work in a US car? I read somewhere that you could only get a/c to work with a s13 conversion.

2. Would the Japanese SR20DET pass US emissions tests? I'm not talking about visual inspections only the emissions portion of it.

Thanks
-Rich

well i dont know about number 1 but number 2 is a no... emissions regulations over in the big j are less restrictive and so they get away with more over there. your gonna need to slap the inspector an extra 50 or so

I heard you can use your KA compressor (or something like that) to get some A/C with your SR.

As for the emissions, its varies, most states you can pass...however some (like Cali) you would need a litte help on.
