toady i was shifting from 2nd to 3rd and i think i went to fifth by accident. It made a loud grind so i poped it to N and tried again and it did it again. the thing is i had the clutch in the whole time....how could it grind? did i jam the shifter up between to gears or something? it doesnt seem like the clutch is slipping either.

possibly a bad master cyl. or air in the lines. that's what i was always told. either that or bad syncros.

this has never happened before and hasnt happened again yet so i doubt its the syncros...

you probably beat the syncros to matching the speeds of the driveshaft and the engine, no biggie as long as you dont do it too often.

don't worry about it, you just got shit spinning too fast for the gears to mesh so it makes a grinding noise. If you wait for the engine to slow down you can easily get it into gear again.
