View Full Version : making your own bolt pattern w/ drill press?

my old car, toyota tercel had acura rims on it.  the bolt patter is 100x4, can i shuve that thing onto a drill press, and drill 114.3x4 where it's blank?  or else my rims r just chillin...

That would not be a good idea.  Bolt patterns are "molded", not drilled.  Drilling would likely have negative effects on the wheels structural integrity.  Besides, how do you know the wheel will fit the hub or even has the right offset?

Unless you are an expert machinist and even then I have serious doubts,  dont even think about it....its different having the rotors drilled, but to get all four wheels perfectly drilled would be next to impossible
