Actually I just bought this last tuesday and should have it next week sometime. I guess they dont have them pre-drilled to 4 lug so it adds some time to the order(2-3days is what they say).
I found it alright dealing with them but let me tell you... you cannot haggle these cats... trust me im the haggling king... to be honest this might be there downfall and sway my choice to purchase from them in the future. The product better be damn good to keep me a client.
I spent the last two months researching this upgrade cause im a penny pincher but I always do things efficiently(sp?). Well I double price checked lances13 prices in his faq here on zilvia and I found out that refurbished/rebuilt calipers where more expensive then he posted. Also I dont think he add in the cost of getting the rotors drill to 4 lug, plus I wanted someone that had done it before do it.
I also have ton questions that I got answer by asad from FA. And if your a FA member you know asad is the shit. So after all my calculations I found it ALMOST cheaper to go through heavythrottle. Now if you just your calipers off ebay or via a junkyard then you will save a bunch of cash but to me that wasnt a smart choice.
I actually ended up getting kit and having them remove the front brake pads cause I have EBC green stuff waiting and the rear break lines cause I really dont think there necessary. Save big $$ there. That was actually cool think about HT the pretty much let add and remove anything to the list.
So if anything wait tell next saturday and I will give you the final word on Heavythrottle.
Also im getting a 87 300zx brake master cyclinder cause its suppose have direct hook up and more pressure.

Hope this helps..

I bought the calipers from a junkyard off a freshly totalled ZXTT, $100 for the pair. Brembo x-drilled rotors $200 for the pair. Redrill is simple and not scientific. The lines were $100. $400 and I was done, a hell of a lot cheaper than $850 or whatever they want for the kit. Been on the car for 3 years now with zero problems, I never even rebuilt the calipers.

But what if u want to do a 5 lug conversion? B/c for me i want these rims from autoimaging .... The Advan AVS Model 5 which only comes in 5 lug... . PSI240 - Well im glad you got yours so cheap, but 300zx calipers are a rare find especially in good condition. Atleast in my area. I called every salvage yard that I could find within 200miles and no one had them. A lot of people do not know how or have time/tools to drill there on rotors.. but if you did your then props to you.
Heavythrottle front kit is not 800 or so bucks its 529 for the 26mm. Plus it comes with decent pads... which again I opted out so I could get EBC greenstuff pads, which would knock the price down to 490 or something.

One-eighty SX - I dont know anyone that sells a kit for the the 5 lug conversion. What you will need to do is find the front(L&R) and rear(L&R) 300zx or 95 up 5 lug calipers, rotors, spindles and there are some more parts that I forgot cause I chose not to do this pretty early in my brake research. Check the search on FA cause I know someone explained it.
You can also get a 4 to 5 lug converter(looks like a spacer)... but I dont know if I would trust it... never used it so I dont know. I think battle club makes them... maybe someone will read this and no more about it.

Actually 300zx calipers are very easy to find. You can get rebuilt ones at autozone, just use your 240sx calipers as the core trade-in and you can get them pretty damn cheap.
As for drilling rotors, look up a machine shop in the phone book, they'll drill 3 holes for ya in minuets.

One-eighty SX, you can get your rotors drilled to 4 lug for now if you wanted. They will still be usable for 5 lug once you swap the hub off a s14 SE or 300zx...dono for sure which ones interchange where and what years etc...

I agree with you Coastek, that is why I went with them in the end. I felt I could justify the few extra dollar by saving me all the time trying to find the parts seperetly. I also included rear rotors in my order cause after looking around they had the best price for slotted/crossed drilled rear rotors.
I will not give them the thumbs up tell I actually get my order though. But so far its been a good business experiance.

Jeff and Yury at srswap.com are great to work with. I've "known" them for quite sometime from being on the 240sx.org mailing list and I also know someone who has gotten an SR from them. I've also ordered my brake lines from them for my Z conversion, and will most likely be ordering some rotors in the future.

As for my caliper find, I lucked out BIG time...I got a brand new set of aluminum TT calipers from ebay for 275.00 shipped...Funny thing is, I was looking on eBay for calipers for someone else about a week or two later and I noticed that the high bidder on one set was the guy who had sold me mine. I think he kinda screwed himself...I did notice that it took him awhile to get me the calipers, but I did get them eventually, so I'm happy...

the HT kit is a great deal, actually. here is what i spent:

$100 for calipers
$200 for KVR rotors
$100 for front SS lines
$70 for all new KVR pads
$~45 for the rebuild kits
$20 for beer to give a friend to rebuild them
$25 for Russell speed bleeders
$10 for fluid
$20 for paint and prep tools

So that's $590. And I needed a $10 socket to get the damn bigass hub bolt off to remove the dust shields. So call it $600 for the whole swap.

If you're nickel-and-diming a $600 brake upgrade, you should be slapped. This is probably the best $600 you'll put on your car. Oh, and talk about attention! People see my brakes at stoplights and just stare the whole time. Nice.
