ok guys heres whats up....i am running a redtop sr in my 90 hatch and while we were out my o2 sensor wires pulled out of the top of my o2. ok well shit....what am i suppose to do now...so i drive it around for a few days waiting till i get my other o2 and a friend of mine's sr is down so i borrow her used o2. i plug it in and my check engine light is doning hella wiered stuff. at rpm under boost its fine but once it goes to idol it comes back on. and sometimes it will even start going on then off...then stay on for a bit then turn off. i dont know what the hell is up.

ssautochrome turbo manni
thanks guys

Under boost or at WOT the ECU runs in "open loop" mode and does not use the o2 sensor signal. Only at idle and part throttle cruise does it reference that signal. Which may be why the light is intermittent.
You know when that light is on the ECU is telling you something is wrong... It's your job to pull the codes and find out what's broken. It'll usually give you an idea of where to look...
What caused your wires to be pulled out of the o2 sensor?! Because whatever it was might have caused more wiring problems that you don't know about yet. I'd use a DMM to check the continuity from the ECU to the O2 sensor, and if that checks out OK pull the codes and diagnose those sensors/wires.
GL
plug in the o2, then reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 30sec.

Hmm...I'm going to go out on a limb and say your ECU is diagnostic mode II. This mode checks to see if your O2 sensor is working properly.
If you look at the instructions on how to check an O2 sensor it will tell you that the CEL turns on and off to tell you the O2 sensor is working properly.
Anyway, pull any codes off your ECU and fix whatever comes up. Be sure to exit the diagnostic mode after you're done.

I've been told that, "it takes lot to throw the cell on an s13 sr!", "So if its on the something is really wrong!"

I agree with this statement, If it flashes of and on fast! ECU probably relearning! Check codes, clear codes and see what happends

hey guys i looked in my OBD 1 book tonite and ovbsiously didnt fine anything on sr's but i used the sentra one whis is almost identical to the ka 240s..anayways i read the code but it said nothing was wrongue. i treid again and same. i then tried the procedure for a 240 instead of a sentra and same code. So i reset the ecu by turning it clockwise and turning on ignition and what not. (it says in the book) and as of now the light is off. so my guess was that the ecu was set in diognostic mode which was throwing the censor. All in all...its ok....as of now...
thanks guys

There's no check engine light on SR's.

Your other pic had higher milage.LOL And where the gas gauge was pointing is the bulb check. thats where diagnostic codes are read from. IIRC
A good installer will take care to wire in the check engine light and consult port IMO
What do they call it when dealers rollback milage?
