It's actually not too pricey if you plan ahead a little... I just booked a 14 night trip with airfare, staying in Shinjuku, middle of March for a little over $1500 - not bad considering I've blown through that much in a bad Vegas weekend. Tokyo is a great! Thanks for the pics!

Ahhh tons of your pics bring back memories when I went couple years ago

I went to this temple, and thought the same thing you wrote about, the drop is NUTS.

what kinda camera are you using? :)
Canon A70 (3.2megapixel). Just a regular old entry level digital camera.
Even though it's not a nice, expensive, clunky camera (which would
be nice if I had one), mine is compact and easy to use so I can WHIP it
out in a flash. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Notice how Errin recognizes superior cars and takes many more pictures of them (FC's). S chassis are snoozeville.

Hahah. I liek the sunbathing JDM neko, Errin.

You can spend a lot or do it in a pretty lean budget, i.e. $1500 for a two week trip like someone
posted earlier in the thread. It all depends on when you go and where you stay, but if you search
around you can find some good package deals.

Yeah Dorifto I thought you'd enjoy the FC and neko pics. :)

Those are some amazing pictures. The country side looks beautiful as well as the temples and castles there. Japan is high up on my list of places to visit, hopefully I can make it there if I ever get a chance to back to Hong Kong.

Thank you for sharing!

thats actually how one of my friends gets over there and stays for about 4 weeks on 1.5k... but the girl happened to be his japanese language instructor so he lucked out

Yeah, it's not that expensive once you're there either. Subway system is by far one of the best in the world, and you can get almost anywhere within Tokyo very quickly for a few dollars. The train can be expensive, but if you get a weekly railpass, one round trip pretty much covers the cost. Food is cheap as long as stick to local resturaunts - it's really not as expensive as people think.
