I just got a 240SX 2 days ago. Yesterday I open the door and the window just fell down! I checked it out and the cables (Who the F&*@ uses a cable! came off it's pully and jammed in the gear mechanism. Well I just got the whole assembly out of the car, but I had to clip the cables that were stuck. Anyone know how to fix the cables or do I need a new thing?
I went to Home Depot and bought some thin airline cable just like the stuff that was used in the window. It was like .15 a foot (you need about 7feet), so it is really cheap stuff. Takes a bit to string it all the way back through and make sure it is all tight, but once you get it in, it will work perfectly.
Good luck.

How did you get it back in the plastic sprocket thingy? It looks like I need to get a whole new regulator since you cannot open up the gears to put in more wire.
