Is it really worth it to put in the rb26 or is it more trouble? Some people i have talked to say its a good idea and others say its too much work... WHat do you guys think?

too much work, get and RB25 or RB20. All the money you spend trying to get it to fit in could be spen on tuning whatever other engine u pick.

as far as i know, the rb26 is impossible, unless u sacrifise the TT for a single turbo. than, might as well go w/ the rb25 for all that work

from what i can tell about how you guys are talking is the rb25det harder to put in than say an sr20det? If so how much harder, and... Is the Apex ISAMU turbo a good selection for the sr20 or rb25 whichever one I choose?

Ya, I also wondered how hard it was to put in the RB25. The SR is easy though. But what are the price ranges for the RB25, and I dont know the specs either. Can somebody tell me? Thanks

www.unstable-hybrids.com (http://www.unstable-hybrids.com) they have the RB20DET for $200 less than the SR, i havent checked but i think the 25 is around 3000ish...i say go for it!
i would if i wasnt spending my cash on another car...

Keep in mind the difficulty with getting parts for the RB, that is one reason why they are cheap.

the biggest problem isn't with the engine itself..it's with the twin turbos. so that's why unstable sells the RB20. Everyone who's tried it or has done it says that's the issue. same as the VG-TT. so like 240meowth said...it's "fine" as long as you're willing to sacrifice the TT for a T.
If you want a high revving engine...go with the CA18. and not enough people have done it for you to not be unusual unique depending on your area.

I've done tons and tons of research on this so I suppose I will share...
RB26DETT advantages over RB25DET: individual throttle bodies, solid lifters - means less valve float and better throttle response. Slightly stronger internals, and slightly stroked giving .1 more displacement (same bore).
I don't care enough about a single one of those advantages to rationalize the cost in getting an RB26DETT. Solid lifters are great, that's the biggest plus in my opinion - But it is not crucial to reaching my goals.
On ya and here's what you need to do to get the RB26DETT in: single turbo conversion, obviously some crazy wiring or after market computer, do something about the oil pan/front differential set up, custom drive shaft. Stock engine mounts. I wouldn't wish that work on anyone.
What I plan on doing: RB25DET with 1.5mm metal head gasket yielding about a 8.7:1 cr ratio I believe (help prevent detonation at higher boost), a set of cams, and a greddy e-manage or apex power fc system (I don't want to have to wire the loom and I want to have tuneability and expandability on the fly). Then there's the fmic, upgraded turbo, and fuel upgrades etc. I'm satisfied with the strength of the RB25 bottom end and tranny, so no work is needed there unless I am approaching crazy power.
Implications: Build a custom short ram intake set up to make the manifold fit under the hood), build ic piping, intake piping, and down pipe to save money since that would be expensive to source over seas. To save money, get an upgraded turbo domestically, and depending on my turbo selection, possibly build a log manifold.
The expensive parts that you need for this that would have to be bought over seas would be the computer, cams, head gasket, a set of routine replacement parts (I'd buy that stuff right away so it's just sitting in my garage in case) and RB engine mounts. It is my understanding that it is recomended when you swap an RB into an S14, you should use new RB engine mounts.
I'm sure I've left a few things out, but that's the cumulation of my RB research.
