Hi my blacktop sr20det slips its clutch in every gear at around 3k rpms, i dont smell anything burning and its a good clutch (holds good power)
When i apply the gas slowly without any boost it doesnt have the slipping sensation... could it be the TPS Sensor??
wtf man...
plz let me know

how could a TPS sensor have anything to do with this.
Like you said it doesent slip when there is no boost which means that there is not enough power being produced for the clutch to slip.

How about your clutch pedal? Is it adjusted properly?

you should readjust the clutch pedal, maybe the valve is slightly open, I know when i changed my clutch i had to give myslef more adjsutment, i hate the sudden engagement type of setting. Seriously just get another disc, not necessarily the entire kit but the bearings, and disc.

Hello TPS has nothing to do with the clutch. It sounds to me,like your disc may be contaminated, oil from a leaking rear main seal. Just a thought PEACE

i think you have a loose engine ground
go ahead and pull the motor and inspect all chassis and engine grounds

Oh, i have seen this numerous times.
Its a Transmition issue. Take the engine out, unbolt tranny, and ship it to us, we have fixed this so many times!!
The 3000rpm flux gear hold bearing is TOAST!!
It must be rebuilt!!
J/K.
Dude, its your clutch. Or you have mis-adjusted your pedal.
Write up on pedal Adjustment: http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?p=1089147#post1089147
Otherwise, new clutch time.

i dont know why i asked if it was related to tps,
anyways i adjusted my clutch and bled it a million times over
still slips in 2nd-5th
but its only under any boost, i did have the flywheel machined, could it be too thin and not making enough contact? i dont smell any clutch burning, i just get the sensation, i also have a loud knocking noise in the transmission (input carrier bearing ipresume) i am going to replace the trans with KA and replace clutch as well.. i was just curious if there were any other things i could look for to fix this shit

also on my last sr 240 my clutch slipped liek crazy owing to pedal adjustment issues, could this be happening because of too many bends or possible crimp in my clutch line?

no, its nothing of the sort. The worse the pressure in the clutch line is, the harder it will be for the clutch To DISENGAGE. So if it is slipping, it is toast.

When you got the new clutch, did you get a pressure plate as well?

Remove tranny (easy)
Inspect your pivot arm, see if its worn out, inspect your slave cyl rod see if its worn...
if they worn are get new pivot arm and slave cyl
Here is a pic of what you need to look for... this is off my cousins bmw that i did the clutch on... i replaced the pivot and the plastic peice seen there because they were worn badly... 120k on the stock clutch thought that was pretty good on his beemer

most likely your clutch is slipping... if its new you may have got your greasy paws all over it and forgot to clean it, or maybe its just a old worn out clutch... have any pics of it?

I'm sure he means that the cluch is rated for whatever he needs. Did break the clutch in before going above 3k rpms? How many miles are on it?
Since your going to replace the transmission and clutch anyway, just inspect everything carefully and see if there is any evidence of a problem.
