ok now that i posted this in the right section

ive noticed a few tattoo threads around...and i searched and didnt see one thread dedicated to tattoo's or piercings...i know there are a lot of users out there that are into getting some Ink done or piercings...

for tattoo's try listing how many sessions and total hours/sittings, also post where u got the work done and maybe some shop/artist info...i know im always lookin for new places to get work done

for piercings, post what gauge size, if uve got plugs how long its taken u to stretch to that size

i got a lip piercing in the middle, i forget what size but i remember it was like a pinch. no biggy, but it was swollen up after a couple of days. i had trouble eating haha. and i had a eye brow piercing, but it kept getting hit (i used to hoop) then it started to heal. i didn't think it was a problem until i could see the piece through my skin. so i tried to twist it off, but it wouldnt twist. so i got a knife and cut my skin just to get it off. and it didn't bleed because it was already hanging on end. : ) no more of those. i'm taking my lip ring out soon. getting a TEBORI tattoo.

Back in HS I had quite a few, sadly no photo's to prove it since it's been four years. Had both ears to 00, both tragus's, an industrial in my left ear, both sides of my bottom lip done, eyebrow, and nips. Got tired of taking them out for my job so I just got rid of them all except the industrial and occasionally the tragus's. I've got 6 tattoos, none of which have any meaning really. I guess I'm just not that "deep."

Here is my favorite tattoo, call me what you will, I don't care. Simple yet awesome. No, they aren't candy corns.

i've got both my ears pierced, and gauged to 12, my left lip and eyebrow pierced, and on the bottom of my left forearm i have the numbers 61530, which represent my grandfather's birthday, which i got done on the 10 year anniversary that he died of cancer. I'll post pics maybe later

The writing is supposed to say Masatoshi in Japanese. I think the first letter is a little messed up.

He was a friend of mine here as a Japanese foreign exchange student going to the language institue at DVC. He died in a car accident from head trauma, his parents were funeral home directors in Japan and their first trip to the US was to pick up their dead son. From what I've learned at his memorial service he was a samurai and was given a samurai's burial when he was returned to Japan. I plan on visiting his family soon.

They put the needle through but as soon as they did it my eyebrow closed down on it...the guy tried to massage it through which hurt like a bitch, then he had to take it out and try it with a bigger needle. That one wouldnt go through either so he had to take an even bigger one and slide it into the top of my eyebrow and slid the other one out the bottom..it took about 15 minutes and needless to say it hurt like a bitch. The guy says about 1 out of 1000 ppl's bodies shut down on piercings like that

gauged my ears with a 10 needle and filled em with 6 hoops and had it stretched to an 0 in a week. hot topic has the best deals on hoops, bars, whatever.(progressive hoops are the best just slide em a little every time u take a shower, the hot water eases the sliding) got mini beer cans in right now will post a link to pics when the ink is done since im not even sure what its gonna be yet i just went to my boy and said "whatevers in your head, put it on my arm." so he finished 2/3's of my sleeve outlining freehand in an hour. traded a russian sks ($200) for a full color sleeve so i cant complain.

Dont buy stuff at hot topic - most of their stuff is acrylic and that can really infect your ears. plus i dont even think that their metal is surgical stainless steel. SSS and glass is all you should use on any piercing for the best results.

also a lot of the hot topic body jewelery is gauged incorrectly...so u might THINK ur putting 0s in ur ears, but really it might be a 2g...so when u go to 00..ull be in for a nice surprise =(

^^^ nice. you should check out some of my friends work. he hasn't even been tattooing that long but he's hella good... he's a little bad ass dude from north carolina 910. we used to be in a band together called "batterz up". we started it years ago when we were really in to the oldschool hardcore scene. band died a couple years ago though lol. he's got some mad talent tho. http://www.myspace.com/justinhardway thats his myspace. he hooks it up too. he lives right down the street from me and does it from home... he's legit though he sprays the whole room with rubbing alcohol and everything.

also - hahaha.. just a word of advice. i was at 3/4" and i went straight to 1" cuz i was tired of stretching slow... don't do that.. i thought my ears could handle it but i seriously wanted to die the next day.. it blew out so bad i could see my cartilage inside the top of the hole lol.. i had to get the outside of the ear scalpeled.. only my right ear actually 'blew out' but the left one got pretty messed up too. lol .

i have both ears peirced and gauged to a 1/2 inch just the stainless steels

as far as tattoos go...my first one i got when i turned 18 and it is drift in script down my left calf...my second one is the silvia k's badge on my right shin in green and gold...my third is a robot on my foot...and my most recent is my last name in script along the top of my back...i dont care if you dont like my tattoos, i love them and thats all that counts!

As for me i got a Mario 1/2 sleeve in the works and I have 3/4" plugs now were 2" but this is as far as they will close. Also had Nose Bridge, Smily, downy, Industrial, Lips (vamps), nips, Prince Albert, Jacobs ladder 5 steps, back neck, eyebow, etc. Ya i was one of those kids in high School lol

To tell you guys the truth I really don't know how long it really took as I was not their when she got it. But I will ask her to see how long it really took. As for the price it was around $500. The tattoo was done by Andrew Moore from Shogun tattoos in Pasadena.

When you mean after, do you mean immediatly when you take them out, or after as in letting them shrink back.

I had 6g in my ear, and I could take them out and you couldn't tell they were stretched much. Just a little bit more noticable then a regular 22g. Now my ears are closed up.

No, it was forever ago. But you can go pretty high up in guage without having to worry about your ears not returning. The most important thing is to not just pull the plugs and let your ears go back. Gradually go back down, and they will look normal when you are done.

My friend had 00 and returned them to 12g in a matter of months.

I thought you might be asking because you had a job/etc that you needed to have presentable ears during working hours.

You don't have to get re pierced. You have 22G. You can get 18g, or even 16g in now. I personally hate those stretcher things, who wants 3in of extra shit hanging around.

But if you want, get to about 14g or 12g using hoops, then use the stretcher. Just keep pushing it in during the day and eventually you'll be to the size you want.

Damn thats a super long time. like I ripped my ears tryna be cool and stretch fast but that was at 2 1/4 umm regular post is like 20 or something like that. I went form regular to 8 in one shot. it all depends on what you prefer. IMO best way to do it is once one size heals completely then i wait a week then go to the next. plus the if you get metal plus they weigh it down and stretch it a little.

went to talk to the guys at the local tattoo/piercing place and they told me that it should take about 4-6 months to go from my gun pierced ears to 6g plugs...does that sound about right?

thats just an estimate, all in all it depends on how ur ears take to the stretching, some people's ears react differently...some people have problems with the materials such steel, acrylick or bone (organic)...find what u like best and stick to it

my suggestion, stretch, take care of it...wait for it to heal fully (some ears "leak")...then stretch again if u feel comfortable...and alternate the sides you enter the jewlery from when stretching (front to back/back to front) that helps prevent "blowouts"

The way I do it now is going only one size at a time once a month.

Before I was stupid. I would skip like 6 sizes at once.

The best way to do it for me is just getting teflon tape and putting one layer on every other day or so, tapers are the suck.

Just take your time and read up on it.

ok in response to what i posted a few posts up Id want something about the size this kid has...assuming the actual part that goes through your ear is about the size of the hole in the plug if that makes sense...so would somethin this size still allow your ear to go back to normal after?

Yes, rule of thumb is that anything 0g and below is good. My lobes were 1-1/2" and they closed back down to 2g after a couple months of no jewelry.

just go to any local legit piercing studio let them know exactly what u want to do and im sure they can take care of you...

my girlfriend just got pierced tonight with an 8 gauge...she's never had her ears pierced before she said it wasnt painful at all...i always said that i wasnt going to go any bigger then certain size, but you always end up going bigger due to jewelery getting loose or just seeming like they're "small" and it makes you want to go bigger

for the size of a pencil i'd say go with a 0 gauge, but get it pierced alot higher and work your way down slowly, so you don't blow out your ear and have cat butt when you decide to take them out
