Seems like the 240 was speeding really fast. The Jeep prolly saw the 240 from far away and thought he could make the turn thinking there was enough time. After starting the turn the speeding 240 caught up and t-boned the jeep.

If I read the article correctly the driver of the jeep was arrested. If the jeep driver was intoxicated then obviously his judgement was hindered and both are at fault.

WTF was the 240 driver thinking speeding on Azusa Ave. in City of Industry?? That place is smoking with bacon all day long. And WTF was the jeep driver thinking driving intoxicated with his daughter, his girl and her 4 year old in the car?? Geez

You know, I saw this on the news last night, and while they were showing the helicopter footage the first thing I thought was "damn, that looks like a 240sx.." I didn't want to be right about it.. That car is demolished. That kind of damage doesn't happen unless you are speeding. I hope this dissuades any wannabe-street racers out there, 240sx vs. SUV = long dirt nap. Especially considering the vast amount of SUV's on the roads out there.

reading the report, sounds like the 240 might have been driving thru a green intersection and the jeep was oncoming and made a left without watching for the 240..
