View Full Version : Wheel fitment whore thread (Stretch/Flush) *NO SPECS, NO POST!*

This is just for you sexy beasts who love to have flush wheels on their wheels.
No chewbacca-spec sunken battleship shadow offsets here. We're talking micro minimal millimeters of clearance between lips and fenders.
Non compliance will be met with deletion.
Let's get the ball rolling!
Oh yeah, post your wheel specs (spacer specs too) and alignment info if you know.
Body mods (if not obvious) should be mentioned as well.
'10 Update
1. Stay on topic. Private conversations don't belong here.
2. Don't post lame setups.
3. Make sure you post sizing information and fitment necessities (IE fender rolling/overfenders).
4. Share your pictures, but don't spam. We don't need to see a load of pictures of your car over the course of a given day. It's not about the car, it's about the wheels/fitment.
5. Report lameness/flaming with this cool little icon that's located in every post - http://icandy.zilvia.net/img/zilvia/buttons/report.gif.

What do you mean? I gave the size and offset? I'm not sure on the tire size, they are a pretty homo stretch though. The front fenders are a 20mm and the rears are 50mm
Alright, thats part of the info I was looking for. I can guess camber by looking, but I think people should follow a template which should be put in the first post.
Like this (taken from cfr, I don't think Simba will mind if I use his specs)
Car: S13 Hatch
Wheel Front: 17x9.5 +12 Gram Light 57S (gold) 225/45/17 (in pictures, switching to 235/40/17)
Wheel Rear: 18x9.5 +12 Gram Light 57S (gold) 235/45/18 (in pics, switching to 235/40/18)
Wheel Rear: 18x10 +18 Work Equip (white) 225/40/18 (in pics, swithcing to 235/40/18)
Body Front: 20MM Overfenders
Body Rear: 30mm Overfenders (pushed in a little so they are less than 30mm)
Spacers Front: None
Spacers Rear: None (switching to 15mm)
Camber Front: 3*
Camber Rear: ~2*
Castor: 8*
Then show us the money shot. This is just a suggestion, take it or leave it. Without it, it just looks like another picture thread.

Hey Guys,
I pick up these Racing Hart C4's from my friend for dirt cheap but not 100% sure they would fit my car. Let me know what you guys think it will take to fit my S13 Hatch with stock fenders.
Front 18X9 + 8MM
Rear 18X10 + 5MM
Here are some test fitment pictures. It looks like the rears will fit with some rolling and pulling but i dont know about the fronts. The fronts do not clear my Z32 30mm Brakes so some spacers will be needed in the front (unless I shave down the calipers : ( .
Rears:
Fronts:
Yah the fronts dont look so good but yet again i didnt have the wheel push all the way up near the fender like i did in the rears. Let me know what tire size, how much camber, and how much rolling and pulling you guys think it will take to get these suckers on!

I shouldnt really comment on tire wear because the toe was jacked up for a long time before I got an alignment. Although, after 0 toe and -3.5 its not too bad daily driving. Inside still wears slightly faster then outside, but its not as bad as some make it seem. -4 and some toe in sucks balls for inner wear though.
17x9 +12 (-3 with 15mm spacer) were gram light 57 pros.

If you want to know what wheels are on a certain car, ask in the 'identify this (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=122134)' thread.
This thread is about wheels with known dimensions and make, and how they fit flush on S-chassis. Nothing else.

I'm being very patient about this, but I won't have this thread crapped up.
If you're confused, just re-read that post a few times.
16x7 will take nothing short of a miracle (and a lot of negative offset) to fit flush) and will look like doo if it happens.

About 3* camber all around, front fenders were hammered off the car, so the fenders are as rolled as they will ever get. Rears are rolled, and a very slight pull, I think I'm going to pull them more, I don't want to run much more than 3* camber in the rear.

There is no need to quote his pictures to ask him a question, and you can likely find out what kind of bumper it is by reviewing his past posts. You can also PM him directly to find out, rather then asking a question in this thread.

Step 1, get flush to the point of minor rubbing.
Step 2, roll fenders a little bit.
Step 3, buy new wheels that rub because you miss it.

here is a quick one of me, shitty pic i'll get some better ones..
17x9+20 all around +3 spacer in front, (due to HE's) front spindle set all the way to positive. +8 spacer in rear. Front Camber is maxed out to the full and i didn't do the alignment yet. Seems to fit ok so far, have yet to drive it hard and see if anything hits in the front.. (I had 5mm spacer in front before but it was too much out in my opinion so i machined that hubcentric spacer to a a new 3mm hubcentric spacer!
235/40/17 federals all around.

Cheya boiii! Work Equpis 17x9 +15 (High disk, clears z32 brakes) 215/45-17 and 17x10 +18 (Low disk,phattest lip) 235/40-17
Who refinished your lips? It looks like they grinded down the taper on them? And work never made those sizes. Closest you can get to that is 17x9 +18 high disk (58mm lips) and 17x10 +22 standard disk (70mm lips). Work never made a low disk for the 17" wheels. The only way you can make a 17x10 +18 is with a high disk and 70mm lips.
Still looks great BTW. I have 17x9 +18 high disk FRONT 235/40/17 595 but I have 17x10 +35 standard disk REAR 245/40/17 595. Still has good lip but I want more. My friend on the right has 17x8 +22 front standard disk 215/45/17 595 and 17x9 +22 rear standard disk 215/45/17 595. Same front and rear lips as mine.

Thanks! I picked them up from RB Motoring. Heads up, they have such a big inventory of work barrels that they can now make Equips to order. I asked them if they could make 17x9 +15ish and 17x10 +20ish and this is what they came up with. I got them for $1500 repainted and refinished.

You fail at common sense. Mathmatically -8+20=12, but when you take off set calculations into perspective if a wheel has a offset of +12mm and you space the wheel out 20mm then you are moving the center of the wheel 20mm farther from the hub. Which would make that a -20mm so (+12) + (-20)= -8.
My first post i missread. I thought the wheels were a -8 with a 20mm spacer, not +12 with a 20mm spacer. But if it was -8 with a 20mm spacer then it would be (-8) + (-20) = -28

The wheels are spaced effectively to -8 because the offset was originally +12.
12 - 20 = -8

I understand that. Read my post I said that I read it wrong, I said it was -8. I cleary stated how I thought he was saying they where +12 after the spacer, and I corected my self.

,I got lucky and someone ended up not going through on the 4 lug +15 P45R's so I picked them up and threw them on today. Guess they had these in stock a while since the 5th person fell through, luckily I thought I would try and see if they had any in stock and got these ones. Here's a few pictures and the specs.

You're not the brightest crayon in the box, are you?
I mean, misogyny aside, did you REALLY think it was a bright move to pick on the wife of an admin? Specifically *THIS* admin?
Don't know what high horse you're riding on, but I'm here to knock you right off of it.
You don't know shit.
You don't know shit about my car (and why it is the way it is).
You don't know shit about my wife (and how much more awesome she is than you).
I'm not banning you or anything. I'm a bigger man than that. I won't tolerate baseless shit-talking though.

Oh wow, you soo want to be banned don't you? It had a kit, it was wrecked while actually driving. As far as slammed, stop talking out of your ass. Those wheels are fucking huge. And because I am a woman how does that make it any different? A good drive to me is better than your best attempt at getting off the freeway exit that has a slight turn to it.

I am always curious why is it these front bumpers always look misaligned/garbled/not straight/weirdly reflective/distorted...
Is it because it's fiberglass? How does one go about making it look shiny/straight/proprely reflective/etc...
I don't know it reminds me of those honda civics from back in the day :-/ Not trying to insult your bodykit/car, it looks neat honestly but yeah :(

17X8 +5 and 17X9 +3 (including the 15mm spacer I'm running).
215/40/17s up front with 235/45/17s in the back.
15mm spacers for the front are on the way, I'll post pictures when I get those on. I also ideally want to run a 215/45 and 235/40 tire, but I basically got all my tires for free so I don't care.
Very very mild pull in the back, nothing done to the front - I am hoping w/ the 15mm I still wont have to do anything, the tire is REALLY small, so it should clear.
Camber is completely maxed out on the front, and rear is just how it is when JIC FLA-2s are 1/8 an inch away from being maxed out, no camber arms in the back yet. No alignment yet either, I can post actual camber when I do, probably close to -3 when compared to my friends race car.

Here's my 5zigen FN's 17x9 +20.
215/45's stretched all around.
Pretty much on factory spec alignment for now, but going with 2.5 degrees of camber in the rear, and 2 up front to have a little more clearance.
No roll, pull, nada.

yeah, some fitment on this thread isnt the greatest.
but its still fitment none the less. and if anything, it will help show which sizes/offsets that someone wanting aggresive offset shouldnt get
thats my .02
