I am going to be investing in a boost controller soon and I am wondering about the AEM Tru Boost Controller/ gauge. I have heard about the profec and the AVC but have not heard about Tru boost. I like the idea of it being a controller and gauge.

Does anyone have any reviews of this or has it themselves and could tell me some things about it and how effective it is?

Thanks

I haven't seen any reviews of the AEM one, but I can tell you that if you can score the original profec with three knobs (gain, low, high) it's the best damn boost controller. No spikes, no complicated rpm crap, but you do need a gauge. I've never understood why some of the newer boost controllers need to be so complicated.

Power Enterprise makes a gauge type boost controller and I think Sard might too.

Search and you'll find a lot of information about what people like and don't like about certain controllers

Ive got it. I really like it. Takes about an hour or so to setup but once you get the gate pressure set and target boost set then its smooth sailing from there. Ive had previous boost controllers and this one is definitely one of my favorites.

Oh and my turbo spools WAY quicker then it did with my AVCR but thats because I didnt play with my AVCR enough, it was just too much work. This one is way easier.

I also like how you get a -4 AN fitting with it so you can run SS braided line to the manifold. Plus they came out with a new solenoid that will control up to 100psi. Matt and AEM tested it and said the AEM solenoid is far superior than the old GM one they used to use.

My friend recently picked one up... We both like it better than my Greddy Profec as well. I'd recommend it.
