I have an LSD question

My car is pretty much stock. Its a '95 SE. And I want to know if I have lsd with it. You know, the stock lsd. I dont want to peel out to find out, but can I tell from inside the engine or something? This will take a load off my chest, so thanks.

Look underneath and see if there is a Orange sticker on the differential. But over time it may fall off so dont give up yet if it isnt there.

Go there and download the S14 VIN number guide, but you have to have Adobe Acrobat to see it.

iirc if you have ABS you have an LSD (S14's only)

Well thats another way too i forgot about it, well unles sthe owner put in a LSD after he bought it.

Man....did i ever get lost with that link. Whats all this 14 digit about? My best guess was to count to the 14th digit in my serial number and there was no letter....only a number. Me and Stilo both. Thanks for the link, but I couldnt figure that out, so I still dont know if I have lsd. What if I compromise with you Matt240SE, and I take a picture of the sticker on the firewall and you can help me out and tell me if I have lsd or not. Will you be willing to do that for me? It will help me out a whole lot. Thanks.

graphik- if your car has an ABS light on the dash, that lights up when you start the car, you have an lsd.

I just took the number off of the little metallic plate on the passenger side firewall. &nbsp;the only thing that I kinda didn't understand was that three of my numbers towards the end were just dashes (-) and I'm assuming that means that I have it (lsd, abs).... hopefully &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> but then again, I do not have an abs light on my dash...

If you have dashes then you do not have that feature.
Graphik Just give me your VIN number and I will try to do it, I completely forgot how but i can try my best at it again.

I don't think i got a VLSD because the only light that comes on on the dash is the air bag light. ANother thing that leads me to that is that whenever i peel out from a stand still my car leaves moon shaped tire marks on the road.

Thanks for helping me out Matt 240. But, I checked my VIN number, and I have dashes on the last three spaces. So, I guess that is something I need to eventually get. Thanks a lot for the help.
