So two days ago my wallet gets stolen with the money im gonna use to pay for my soon to be '89 S13 project....

No HUGE problem &nbsp; &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pissed:'>

So i called the guy up and told him I would goto the bank and get more money out and bring the car over from your shop (it was getting safety done) and ill give you the cash.

Anyways..... Hes one block away from my house no word of a lie... he turns left onto a street that would take him right infront of my house, its a blind hill for people turning like him because of the on coming traffic coming up over the hill pretty fast..... so you can guess what happines.... he comes over the hill and gets T BONED on the passanger side less than a block from my house were im waiting... gets hit by a 1997 Camaro.....

this week just keeps getting worse....

so it was towed to a garage...... do you guys think if i could get if for like $200 it would still be worth making a project out of if there is no real damage done to the chassis or anything serious? im sure I could pick it up for $250 maybe.....

Please let me know what you think its been a bad day as it is and im trying to savage what i can....

It all depends on the extent of the damage. Sadly, the worst place for a car to get hit is the side. Contrary to popular belief, the front is not the worst for a hit, infact it is the best. It's all in the way the car frame is designed. I'm not going to go into detail, but I have a friend that buys hit cars from an auction and restores them, so I know what I'm talking about.

Like I said, it all depends on the extent of the damage. Get a laser tool to check if the side frame is bent, if so, your sh** outta luck.

like wha titan said, the side of the car is most miserable... i wouldn't take it for 250... &nbsp;again, really depends on how much the car is damaged...

fresh, we live like a half hour away from each other an i can tell you you can get a running sohc 240 for as little as $800 in decent shape.

if this car your looking at has the front lower valance, then buy the thing for next to nothing and you and i can use it for a parts car.... if it's got stuff i need i'll go halfers... but the valance is the main thing...

if not, dont buy it... check trader.ca you can get them for under a grand... heck i called a girl in the falls who had one for $900 but she wouldnt part it out...

PM me

Well i PM'ed you

basicly i was gonna do a silvia conversion to the front end.... and drop in a DOHC, then turbo it.... if the main parts of the car are okay i still may.... if not... lets part it out....
