I'm wondering if you can use the t28 turbo outlet on a t25. I know you'd need to use a new hot-pipe. the reason I'm wondering is because my exhaust manifold puts my hot-pipe coupler like 3mm away from the runner and it finally melted through (bad boost leak). I have a bandage there now but I want to fix it nice, without going back to stock manifold or turbo upgrade.
I'm thinking of the s15 part that courtesy and others sell so you can bolt in an s15 turbo. I basically want the turbo outlet to point toward the front of the car instead of up like stock t25. thanks for reading and sorry for the long post. and yes I searched for this for awhile, its tough because the search is kinda broken.

why not just use some header wrap on the exhaust manifold? its just something to think about.

Can you clock the turbo to point away from the runner

I think what he's describing is the cheap manifolds (like the Megan I have) put the runner for the 1st cylinder very close to the hotpipe on a t25 - the t28s have their hotpipe connection angled further away, so he wants to get a t28. I'd say that's always the way to go, and to answer the original question, yes the outlet side (turbo elbow side) is the same for both turbos.

Wow... You dont need to buy any special part. If you want to "clock" the turbo all you have to do is remove the C-clip on the back of the compressor housing. Then you rotate the compressor housing where you want it and reinstal the C-clip. If the turbo's mounted on the vehicle sometimes you dont need to remove the C-clip. You can just rotate it by hand, using alot of force.
