u might be able to knock a lot of that out from inside the trunk. then have a body shop, etc, finish it. thats not TOO bad. my body shop gave my brother a quote on damage to his car that was similar and the estimate came out to something like $400-$600

It doesn't look creased, it'll probably pop right out.

yeah, I think it'll pop out, either with the plunger or poundin from inside the trunk (depending on how low it is - it's really tough to pound out dents that are below the level of the fuel tank).

I say do whatever you can do for free, and rock the dent. If you're a pretty boy (those white rims DID look a little too clean...) then pay some schmuck to make it look pretty again, and just know that you could have just upgraded your turbo/footwork/aero/etc.

crawl into the trunk, put...put your foot(shoe on) and push out on it...she'll come right out(have a friend watching the dent)

but...sorry to say, those wheels wont make it, you might just have to scrap them and get some good offset ones

yeah man like use a window holder you could pick one up at you local hardware store or home depot its basicly like the pluger but it sticks better and it has a handle not a stick that could f**k your hand up. looks like its a simple pop out job.

^^^What he said. All it does it suck to a window so you can pull it. I weight about 300lbs and could hang from ONE of them. If you can't pull it by yourself get a friend to help pull. It will come out perfect and I know b/c I have done dents bigger then that with one.

Try to push it out from the trunk. Metal has a memory to it, which means it wants to go back to its formed shape. Push it out from the trunk with you hand and dont use any hammers. Body hammers do help in fixing metal, but as you said you have no body experience. Hammering can cause a high spot and even crack your paint. Go to a shop and get a estimate it might be worth it. From what I see in the pixs the metal doesn't look to distressed, but in the area around the gas cap seems to out of alignment. That area won't come out by pulling. Another option is painless dent removal like a dent wizards guy.

yea i pop out most of the dent, but the dent below the fuel door is pretty bent in and is hella hard to get anything in there to hammer it out. it looks ok i guess but its kind of wavy if you know what i mean, not smooth as the original!

I dont know what kind of mickey mouse body shop you work at. I've never seen that type of "plunger" done on a car's dent. =X

The best way to fix that is at a body shop. Unless you're willing to buy the correct tools to fix it.
You need a stud gun and a slide hammer that mounts on the studs; that you will be welding to the metal panel. The slide hammer will pull it out and you use "special" body work hammers to fix the dents as you pull.
The welded stud then get cut off and grinded down to the metal. Now you take rubbing compound to fill in the body work. Grind down the excess body filler, sand it down with a DA. Use black primer, wet sand, get it ready for paint.

But for a dent like that, i'd go with "paintless dent removal (PDR)". Body shops use special hooks and handling tools to press out the dent from the inside. Look in the yellow pages and find some location near you. It's expansive. :)
