lol... SUSPENSION! duH! If you are eventually going to swap engines then you want to for now get things you can keep in your car... like awesome suspension mods... If you dont have strut tower bars for your front and rear yet then that will take away about $100....and that is definately something you will notice. I doubt you're going to find any coilovers but you might.... also if you're into looks I would use that for rims... depending on if you go used or just cheap... you could get a decent or very nice (depending on if it's used yet) set of wheels... Or other minor looks things like tint if you dont have and plan on it, or stereo mods... I would do it in suspension but thats just my 2

I say hotshot headers, cat back exhaust...and search around to see if you can find a deal on a hi flow cat, that will give you the biggets boost for around $800

it may run more w/shipping tho, but its better to do it all at once

do u have a S13 or S14? well, if u have a s13:

Rear STB: $100 (Whiteline)
Front Anti-Sway Bar: $140 (Whiteline)
J30 LSD: $300
Installation for the LSD: $100ish

and the ultimate stereo upgrade, a 24x burner: $100

btw, doesn't $500 + $248 = $748? i'm not a math major, but...

Well your goal is to be racing so Tires and Brakes. Get some pretty good tires and make sure your brakes are up to the task. Make sure you at least know the last time you changed fluid otherwise you're bound to have fade issues. Get some sporty pads, and make sure your rotors are within tolerance. Otherwise some Z brakes are in your budget. Then look at getting a front sway bar. For power the cold air extension or an exhaust would be nice.

Go out and have fun your first time and make sure you have money leftover for after because I guarantee your priorities will change after being out on the track. Whole different world from the street. A competent road suspenion will be pitching and rolling all over the place, and your tires and brakes will never have worked so hard in their life.

I'm assuming you meant a road course and not a drag strip, otherwise ignore what I said.

I would say 300zx Brakes, and an LSD. I think those two thins would help you most on the track.

SAVE IT FOR A TURBO KIT!!! or save it for colledge.................lmfao hahah yea right! well it depends on what direction your going for in your car. n/a forced induction, sr, and what has more priority suspension looks or engine or sound.......

i know my drivetrain isnt modded up..there are lots of ppl that race stock..only to see how good they can do..dont need to be all tricked out to drag..but upgrading my drivetrain..thanx for the info

Other than an LSD why would modify your drivetrain? The stock 240 drivetrain can handle all the power of an SR stock, you don't need to cange a thing unless you exceed 200 ponies. Unless you are saying evrything from the filter to the wheels is driveline. If thats the case, than ignore everything I said.
I would put the money in hotshot headers and 5Zigen fireball 60mm exhaust. If you choose another exhaust, make sure its mandrel bent SS. Peace,

Joey
