So guys which tire for a 17 x 9?
225/40, 225/45 or 235/40 for a 17 x 9 and why?
This car is mainly used as a daily driver, but is taken to the drag strip on fridays and drifted on saturdays. So I need a tire which will be ok for either sport.

what offset are your rims? roll? pull? overfenders? coilovers?
225/45 will sit a lil high

225/40 is out since there are only like 2 tires made in that size, 224/45 or 235/40 depending on how low you are

use that tire calculator thingy, there are several of them out there, it compares tires/rims and such...
225/45/17 is probably the cheapest from the selection you listed

front or rear run a 235/40/17. However if its on the fronts, definate need for fender pull and harness relocation. 215/45 or 215/40 are easy to comeby, but if you aren't mounting your own tires or you know someone that can do it, becomes a hassle when you try to find a tire shop that can do it for you.

depends on the tire tho. its not that hard, 215 seats just fine with a little convincing. 205 is harder.

225/45 is useless. 235/40 is shorter and wider, 215 allows even more clearance.

If you actually want help, why don't you help your goddamn self a post some relevant information? What the fuck are you using your car for? what wheel specs? suspension and fender mods?
Why not ask, hey, can another Zilvia build my car for me? If thats what you want, give me your fuckin credit card and i'll have it done in a couple months for you.

225/45 is useless. 235/40 is shorter and wider, 215 allows even more clearance.

And I want a car that can fly, burrow through the earth, dive underwater, and phase through idiots on the road.
Drag and drift ask for different things. Try to do both, and end up sucking all around...even more. Shit. Learn about drag and then learn about drift and maybe you'll be able to make your own decisions.
I'm not even gonna get to the differences in suspension setups that the two require.
