I have a '95 240sx. I lowered it about 3" front and 2.5" rear, and droped it of in the alighment shop. the mechanic did all the angels that was set by factory, but he couldn't set some of them cuz on the factory saspention not all angles are adjasteble. But he sad it looks good(Don't know what he mean by"looks good")... The car runs good. it's not shaking or puling. But on the hard coners I feel exesive overstire(feel like front loosing greep) I lookend on the front strut camber plate and it is all the way on "+"... That dosn't look good to me...
The question is what is the proper alaighment for fron and back... It is my daily drive but I intend on useing it in time attack cources...
Sorry for misspeling. I'm not from US... :(

He probably set it up as best he could. Do you have any specs that they printed out from the machine?
Do you have any aftermarket suspension parts, like control arms, toe links etc? I know that when I first did my suspension I had to get it aligned as close as I could to 0.0 toe, but my camber was completely messed up because there wasnt enough slack in my stock parts to get it to spec. Also, if you want to use it as daily, but some aggressive driving, you want more negative camber and no toe.
Toe will wear your tires MUCH faster than camber....Id say invest into some suspension parts so you have more room for adjustments!
Hope this helped!

while this subject is up. Is there any "suggested" specs that would be more of a "performance" alignment setup?
I know the more the toe is In the more it increases high speed stability.
thanks for any suggestions ect.

I have tain coilovers with fron strut plate adjasteble(I think its for camber... but I'm not sure(you can see it from the top, where the strut bar is mounted on that plates studs that holds the shock itself))... also I have Nismo front power barce(for the tansion rods), fron adjasteble tenson rods. hard tieiner tie rod and Dspec outer tierod end. And on the back all the links are adjasteble.. The only factroy things are left is lower control arms...

Did he give you a paper with what specifications your car is now at?
Get rear upper control arms. And rear toe rods.
Post your alignment specs.

You shouldn't run a stock alignment on Coilovers.
Being Lower and Stiffer than stock means you need more static camber than stock.
2.5 Camber F/R
7 Caster
.15 Total Toe In F/R
tell him to do that, and it will handle better than the 1 camber or whatever you probably have.

Id go and complain to the guy, or demand a full refund and go somewhere else. If they wont give you a paper with the specs on it from the machine, there must be something wrong with them

Get a paper or go to a shop and find out what specs you have.
2.5? isn't that a bit much camber McRussel? Thats pretty aggressive

maybe you should find out more about suspension before you go buy alot of adjustable parts. no offense, but educate yourself, so you dont get ripped off, and an effed up alignment.

stiff/low/macpherson strut.
I'd consider it mid range.

I got anoufe of mechanical background. Used to work ase a mechanic. working in bodyshop right now. My brother got 8 years of experience and my dad is working as mechanic(non of them ever worked on alighment do, or performance) I got good quality parts and profesionaly instaled... Adgastment thats what the problem is at...
Risenly got in to the little acsident and brocke one of the front tension rods. I got new parts. After I'll instal it I'll take it to the alighment shop again, and I'll post the result...
Another thing... the right hight was adjasted by aye... Next time will take it some performance shop so thay can do the right ride high and check my alighment...
Thanks all for replys... :)

I've been running 2.5 on the street for over 2yrs now. I see no problem. Crazy Toe will eat tires 10x faster. My Toe is stock and my Caster is at 6.5 cause the guy wouldn't adjust it cause it's "non-adjustable stock"
