The only engines that will bolt in are the KA, SR and CA. Check out Unstable-Hybrids (http://www.unstable-hybrids.com) They have lots of info about different swaps for the 240. Hope that helped.

With a big bank account and a lot of work RB26DETT and VG30DETT are possible... But realisticly I say go with the CA18DET

ca18 is just as easy as the SR swap from what I understand. there's also the option of KA-T (turboing the current engine that you have under the hood).

if u want ot be unique.. but u like the price range and level of easiness of installing the sr.. i'd say go with a ca18det... but u could of course go with an rb25det... i heard they really aren't as hard as they sound to swap. and the engien it self isn't ridiculously priced.. go tounstable hybirds (http://www.unstablehybirds.com)

where do you live that you see tons of people with SR's? i was up in chicago last month at the meet and out of about 30 cars, there were 3 SR's and 2 KA-T's. to me, that means you're still pretty damn unique. you still get to say you have a JDM motor. and you still get to work anyone with an NA KA.

Yeah, I was going to say pretty much the same thing earlier. No one, and I seriously mean no one, has said to me "oh...you have an SR." If they don't know cars, they're like "oh shit, turbo!!!! ....whats that silver thing in your bumper", and if they do know cars, they're like "holy shit, is that a real SR20?!?!", at which point I think about saying it's fake, but decide not to. The SR is legendary in the import community, up there (though not quite) with the RB26 and the 2JZ in terms of reputation and coolness. My counter to you is if you're so worried about what people think, if you get the CA people will be like "what is that?", and if you get the RB25 or 20, they'll say "why didn't you get the GT-R motor?"

crazycuban, I was going to say exactly what you said for the most part earlier, but I think that some people just feel the need to be different from the rest of the crowd. IMO the trendy thing to do now days is to be different. This was not said to anyone in particular it's just a thing that I've noticed with a lot of people.

ca18det would be great - i love the motor. what i like even more though would be an rb25det. if i swap a motor it WILL be the rb25det, i have researched the swap inside and out. i like the rb25det for many reasons and i can source it for a reasonable price. i also suggest this for the reason that i am hoping a few more people will do the rb swap so that i won't be alone if i needed technical consultation.
