hi
finaly i buy a SR20, i uy it in canada, they siped but they tell me they need a SSN (social security) to pass the customs, they really need that??
i am not american i dont have SSN (i live in mexico), the engine is going to arrive with a friend in el paso texas... the SSN have to be from the guy who is shipped to?? or can be any SSN? O_o
my english is very bad as usual =/ sorry =P
can anyone help O_o

they dont need a SSN theyre full of shit. find another place.
just buy a clip in the US from a trustworthy place and get it sent to texas if you really want one.

Es posible digas a ellos que tu estas de Mexico? Maybe they can find a way to ship it without a number. O puedes usar el numero de tu amigo, o cambia una numero y usas este?
Este es raro, por que cuando yo recibe partes de Canada de "PDM Racing", ellos no necesitamos mi SSN.

NAGASAKI is actually a pretty good place. cheapest in vancouver, but i still don't get why they need you SSN. I woulden't give it to them tho. try calling the border

hmmm.. no se porque necesitan un numero de seguro. Dile a tu amigo que llame y pregunta por que nesesitan tu numero de seguro, tambien que diga que el ha comprado cosas de canada y nunca le preguntaron por su numero de seguro. Y si todavia qeren un numero usa el seguro de tu amigo pero que cambe un numero.

what can ppl do with a social? well lets see...they have ur name, ur social, ur address, and possibly your CC info. I dont think theyre going to pay your taxes.....

yeah dude. type in social security number search. they have personal information databases all over the place. ssn isnt good for shit
I got the engnine 3 days ago, looks good! ^_^
still dont know why then need the SSN O_o
will post later when i swap, or will ask stupid questions about why the engine dont start HAHAHAHA -_^

I can't think of ANY reason they would need a SSN...I've shipped from and to Canada from both sides of the border and have never heard of anyone asking for that before. Sounds suspicious to me...
But since you already have the motor it's to late I guess... good luck with the swap.
P.S. JDM source is a good place... got quite a bit from there. I've always been happy with there stuff.

Since you live in Mexico, I would just make one up and see what they do.
The worst thing I can see happening is them returning your motor to the sender and you having to get your money back.
