I'm researching my best on this turbo I have with me. First off I will be running this turbo on my S14 SR, hopefully keeping it bottom mount if thats possible and bolting up to the stock exhaust mani. This turbo is claimed to be the Garrett GT2871R but I'm not so sure thats the truth. There is no plate anywhere on the turbo to give me a specific part number. On the outside of the housing the numbers are AR 50 (which leads me to believe this isnt a 2871) and M12 and of course GARRETT. I'll post some pics I took to try and help out. PLEASE HELP ME!! I dont want to buy the wrong turbo!!

If you're talking about the plate, there isn't one.

Looks big enough to be the 3071R-WG

What would be the difference in the normal 3071R? Thats exactly what it is too, in that picture you showed.

What would be the difference in the normal 3071R? Thats exactly what it is too, in that picture you showed.

Basically the turbine wheel is trimmed to fit in a bored out T2 Housing. The housing is the same one as on the 2871R yet bored to stuff the 56.5mm wheel in. This is the biggest wheel you can fit in a T2 housing. The normal 60mm would hit the wastegate.

Turbine
-Wheel: 56.5mm w/ 84 trim

Thanks a lot!! I do infact have the 3071R-WG w/ after market actuator. Any idea's as to what power I can put out with all needed supporting mods and a fuel tune? I've seen some dyno sheets on the 3071r but nothing with this WG model. Thanks again

Stock or with cams? There were some people that had some creep issues with it. I dunno if it was a KA or and SR problem. It's a very big wheel in that T2.

Only one I saw was 400hp @ 15psi with 272* cams.

272's..damn. I was thinking more along the lines of 264's. Dont want to go with new valves/valve springs and all that head work if I can help it. Im on a low budget...haha

You should get springs & retainers with 264's also. Not required, but I would do it.
