Hey all i have searched and have not found anything that says hey if you have a 5 bolt open diff and a 6 bolt lsd you need this to make it work... I am not sure what lsd i have off what car. it has 6 bolts on the pumkin and 5 bolts on the output shafts. So my question is i have a 90 240sx 5 bolt open diff. What do i have to do to make the new lsd work?

search a little harder but if you have a pumpkin with six bolts then you would need half shafts with six bolts right... http://www.zilvia.net/f//showthread.php?t=53768
well what do you know theres info in the FAQ thread hmmm.

wow i cant use the damn search button.... lucky you guys... but yea as i think it would be common sense to think only a 6 bolt flange would hook up to something with six bolts and same goes for the 5 bolt...

Fuck man, did you really need to start a thread? You have a 5bolt diff, you need 5bolt axles. If you have a 6bolt diff, you need 6bolt axles. There's no other way to look at it unless you're planning on building some custom shit that we don't know about.
As far as which models you can get these axles from, you should already know that if you've searched. There's no reason to take this any further.
As far as the diff itself, a 4bolt cover is standard on S13s, 2bolt cover on all other models. Again, well discussed info that you should know already.

you can't put the triangle in the circle. and you can't put the rectangle in the triangle. it's a simple as that.

The jdm diffs have 5bolt output shafts.
