SR20DET Swap with HICAS

Had anyone done a SR20det  swap with a 91 240 w/ HICAS???  Any problems?

Forum member on FA named Tangkai has a SR in his hicas model hatch back.  You will need to get Hicas "lock" to disable the hicas.  Other than that , the swap is not any different, perhaps some minor wiring issues.

Why does the hicas need to be dissabled with the SR swap?

I too am interested about this question, &nbsp;I will be doing my Swap in a few weeks and i have a 93 SE with Super Hicas and ABS with LSD, I don't see why you have to remove the Hicas since the swap is up front not in the rear, and tranny has nothing to do with the Hicas, But as i said i don't know so can someone explain why this has to be removed..

Yeah i think you had to get the ABS option which was paired up with the LSD, You could add the Hicas with that same package, I love my 93 is very rare, Only thing i wish i had is the Digital Display, i really like the digital display, Anyhow mine has the ABS, LSD and Super Hicas. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

It is the super handling package option that include ABS, LSD and Super HICAS. So if your car has ABS, it will has LSD and HICAS system.

I think you can keep your HICAS if you get a JDM SR20 rear power steering pump. I believe HICAS has a seperate power steering pump for the rear wheels.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but hopefully this will give you a direction in which to investigate.

no not always. People could order the ABS option seperately seen it today at a wrecking yard 93 with ABS and no Hicas and no VLSD.
I know because most of the time people who ordered the ABS option ordered VLSD . though this particular original owner of this car ordered the ABS without the VLSD boy was I dissapointed when I thought for sure I had found a 240sx VLSD because it had the ABS sensor. OH well.
I also owned a 89 with VLSD and no ABS Or HICAS and it was verified on Glendale Nissan's computer .
I have done extensive research into this subject and know it backwords and forwards so please do not try to argue it like certain people have recently attempted. Its fact plain and simple and its verified fact.

I have yet to buy a 240sx. i would like to have the HICAS and on a 93. Is there and easy way of telling if the car the HICAS of not?
I also leave in Canada and you say there is no 240's with it here?
what is VLSD?

i have LSD, ABS, HICAS, and digital guage cluster!! and its a 1993...

i have a question too:

i would like to keep my HICAS for now, but i hear that the power steering pump on a hicas car is different. My sr20det came with a power steering pump, but i believe its non-hicas because it only has one pressure hose. the pump on my ka24de is definately a HICAS pump, and it has two pressure hoses. now... how do i go about keeping my HICAS system AND keeping power steering.
