My dads bday is coming up this Jan. and I kinda wanted to give him one big xmas and bday gift. My mom, sister and probably sister boyfriend will all be in this so we'll be able to get into the K category. The car it will go on is a New Cadillac STS Black on Black. What kind of baller rims do you think would be look good on his car? Thanks!!!

You won't be able to get Japanese wheels for this car by January.
Special order only, would take too long. Also, if its a new STS, aren't those 6 bolt?
If anything I'd just give him a gift certificate to some wheel shop, I'm sure he wouldn't have the same taste as you.
He'd probably end up wanting some chrome joints from those $599 wheel / tire shops. Dads just don't really have that kinda taste in rims typically.

honestly, is your dad a car guy?
if he's not he wont give a damn you gave him some wheels...
IMO $3k sounds like a nice vacation to messico to me.

Fine example of when to go the gift certificate route. +1

Have him select the rims on his birthday and then order them.:coolugh:

Best idea so far IMO is to drag him into a place and simply say "pick what you want its our present for you" .... ? If he is a car guy he might have a different idea on taste... if he is a car guy, if not one ... well thats makes things different.

Great advice from all of you, seriously. Brb while I spread the rep. As for the car, little more specs
Its a V6, RWD with the TPST? Crap (Tire Pressure Sensor Thing)
True, he really isnt a car guy and Rota's to him would look the same as SSR's. Another idea that might work is choose all the rims that my mom, sis and all of us can afford, put it in a card, then tell him choose which ones he wants then buy them?
So yeah your right Logan, if I do end up getting baller rims I might hit you up man! :D Thanks

make sure he drives his car nicely, my aunt just bought a G35 with the 19 inch forged rims and she curbed them in 5 days. she's not used to driving with no sidwall, it pissed me off. last thing you want is your dad to fuck up some bad ass wheels that you just payed good money for.

5x115mm, The STS-V is the 6 lug.
Also he would have to take the car in anyways as they would have to break down the OE's to get the TPMS out to put on the new wheels.
Just get DUB magazine and some wheel catalogs and a card saying to pick something.

All fingers point to not buying rims.
Makes me think you are modding the car for you, not him ;)
For $3k you could do a lot more, like remodel part of the house or something.
When you are a father rims are pretty insignificant imo.

Make sure he wants to mod the car to begin with. Some people like stock.
