Whats a shipping terminal

When you ship through a freight company and it goes to a terminal, is that at a airport or a trucking service? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

its probably your regional warehouse that the trucks pick up from.

Its the huge warehouse the semi-trucks back up to and have items loaded onto or off of. You can usually go there with a pickup truck and a guy will bring you your stuff on a forklift and load it into your truck for you. (getting it out later at home is your problem tho)
