Im picking up my set of Sportmax 006s next week, 18x9.5 +35 all around...

I have stock fenders (just rolled). How will the fitment on these be? What size tires do you guys suggest for them? I am on Tein S Techs right now. Suggestions?

Sorry for the noob questions, but thanks in advance guys.

don't forget spacers, you're going to hit your springs... get a decent set of adaptors so your wheels don't touch your springs.
my friend needed 25mm spacers with the 18x8.5 006's

wow - i just checked out your cardomain - you might want to lower your car before getting more wheels... and do something about them sticking out.

sportmax are crappy wheels with crappy fitment and they're cheap potmetal garbage and they weigh like 29lbs per wheel

!Zar!

my friend needed 25mm spacers with the 18x8.5 006's, you may have to get 50mm spacers to make the fronts fit... you should get wide front fenders or they are going to stick out

Sportmax, Rota, ADR are all crap.

18's in such craptastic sizing is even worse.

Worse than a primered s13fb rocking 15x 6's.

50mm spacers...

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE

You're kidding me rite?

Meh- the car is a daily beater... I dont care to spend the money on a really nice set of wheels. I was just wondering about the fitment (are they gonna stick out, rub, etc).

The pics on my cardomain are old... I havent had a chance to update Ive been too busy.

do you have an s13 or s14?
for s13 you're going to need a 20mm spacer at least in the front = +15 or lower (+15 might not clear your coilovers, depends on what you're running, might have to go to +12 or less) plus roll and mild pull as well as a few degrees negative camber.
for the rear i'd do 20mm spacers as well. you're going to need a slight pull and 3-4 edgrees of camber along with a stretched sidewall.
you're gonna need to go lowww for this to look halfway decent.

Hmm... I might pass up on the wheels then.

I just want something nice looking for my S13, but Im not so much into the old school thing anymore, I want some nice (Cheap) 17s or 18s with decent lip to them. Any other suggestions besides the cheap ass Sportmax's??

Id buy some used FNs if someone was selling em, but havent seen any yet. I dont want to spend much money on this car, if Im going to buy baller wheels itll be on my other car.

I can see how you'd want to save your money to put "baller" wheels on your Camry. Makes sense.:ugh:

At least its different than the 40853053083583083 modded S13s out there... And can outperform most M3s.

track pics or ban

or a video beating an M3 driven by Raven R1 would suffice

Oh wait, I think he means he can run a 14 at the quarter mile and that makes his car an "m3-beater"

UfoZ8myCow
12-23-2006, 12:13 AM
Actually, it runs low 12s in the quarter... But thats not what I built it for. I built it to road race.

Dont get mad guys, Im just here to learn some shit about my S13, not defend my Camry. If you dont like it, fuck off. My car, my money. I built it for me, not for anyone else.

dont mean to jack your thread but didnt wanna start my own. how much of a spacer would be needed for the 17x9 +35 on an s14?

JSpecBnr32
12-23-2006, 12:28 AM
i suggest 225/40/18 all around, 25mm bolt on spacers all around so it would equal out to 18x9.5 +10, with slightly rolled fenders and a little bit of negative camber

Low 12's with only 260whp? :bs:

260whp was on the stock turbo... Im running an ATS CT27 now (basically a T04), retuned on the AEM EMS and making 310whp with a conservative tune. When I ran the 12.3 it was on this tune with drag radials that I borrowed from a friend. And I suck horribly at drag racing. My reaction time rivaled that of a 90 year old grandmother.

Sorry Ive offended so many of you guys by actually doing something different. I guess if I would have just gotten an S13, dropped an SR20, origin kit and coilovers on to it like everyone else it would have been more to your liking. I was just asking questions about my S13 and some douchebag just starts making fun of my other car. Real mature. :mephfawk:

To those that have actually been mature and posted helpful information on the thread, thank you.

And who said FN's are baller wheels? I just said that they cost more than I want to spend on my daily driven shitbox.

read this sentence. you are implying that FN's are baller.

Im pretty sure you can get rpf1s for about a grand and rbmotorings used wheels are never a bad idea.

Right. You know what they say about arguing online so I wont even go there. The only really sweet FNs are the forged ones in my opinion, but even the regular ones arent that bad. They are cheap, light, and look good. Let it go buddy.

I don't see anything wrong with the Camry, it's tastefully done.

BTW, are you the one that had the "work" done at Btune with that insane thread on Club4ag?

Before I offer any advise....what is your purpose for driving the 240sx?

UfoZ8myCow
12-23-2006, 01:43 PM
The 240SX is my daily driver... I take it to work and back whenever it's cold out or raining and at night. Otherwise I ride my motorcycle. I was just asking how 9.5s would look on the front, Ive never had an S13 so I didnt know.

Damn guys... Its not like you were all born with supreme knowledge of the 240SX. You all had to learn it from somewhere too.

I don't see anything wrong with the Camry, it's tastefully done.

-glenn

Yup that was me... B Tune has since closed up shop and all the idiots that worked there have dispersed. I ended up dropping my case against them in court and we settled outside. Either way, I still ended up spending almost another 1000 bucks just fixing the stupid little shit they messed up on my car. That thread really was insane though- as soon as I posted up about my experience I had with them, people started coming out of the woodwork with all their horror stories about getting screwed by that shop.

ok , i got the 006's but not in 18's. if u dont have coils and no aero, id say go with 17's. cheaper and like u said, only a dd right? i got 006's in 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. im running tein s techs and tokico hp's. doesnt look dummy slammed and u can actually go over speed bumps without goin on it sideways. rear lip is fat, and who gives a fuck wut they say about the wheels. they spend 2K on wheels, their money, i spend 600 on mine, im happy all that matters. tires in front is 225-45 and rear is 245-40. go with 17's dude.

Thanks bro, I appreciate the useful info. I feel the same... That sounds like the setup Ill probably go with. Any rubbing anywhere?

Frixco_240
12-23-2006, 02:23 PM
no rubbing anywhere. wheels are hella heavy tho, i gotta warn u. and u will feel it rite away. but i mean, its not like ur 240 is fast enough to take on EVo's anyways, so w/e with the weight.i dunno why they never made the 964's??? in 17x8 front cuz i woulda gotten thse instead. the 006's are hella hard to clean. stupid mesh.

UfoZ8myCow
12-23-2006, 03:03 PM
Yeah, if I was really concerned with performance Id go with something else. But most of the time Im stuck crawling along the 101 through downtown LA at 5mph, so lightweight wheels wont really do me much good there.

I guess you could do the 962s in 17x9 all around... Theres a dude on here with a white car that has that on stock aero and it looks pretty decent.
