S14 Stolen 12/21/06 Pasdena, Ca

Folks I know i haven't posted in a while, but I have some hot info that i have to share.

Today 12/21/06 it was a normal day for me, we had set plans for tonight. Bday dinner for my cousin at BJs Monrovia right after work. SO we eat and eat, and have a great time.

SO after this dinner, we all decided to go back to my cousin Eric's apt. In Pasadena. Off Marengo and California. I park one apt. complex over and head into the apt. We kick it for less then an hour and decide to call it a night. Most of us had work the next day and we were about to leave.

Unitl .. my little cousin Yells out ... "Mike someone just drove off with your car." We all run down, car gone no broken glass nothing. I quickly jump on my cell and call 911. First the 911 computer operation put me on hold. I hung up. and called 411 to direct me to Pasadena Police department. Gave the opt all my info and my car info. Funny enough she used to live on my street, i laughed and said what a small world. Cops came pretty quick, all this happened in about a span of 15 to 20 minutes. An officer arrived to my cousin's place and took down the report, FUCKEN GTA.

A warning for all us folks here, my car was pretty much stock with a few tasteful mods nothing special.

1997 Kouki 14 Dark Green
Wheels enkei rpf1s, suspension, shitty JIC exhaust and other smaller mods. (bushings, b&m shifter tein hard tie rods and jdm kouki grill) that's it .. I dont want anybody here to go what i'm going thru. So please be on the look and let me know if you have any info.

Sorry to hear man, Car thieves suck. I had an S2000 that got broken into once and they stole the radio out and I was devastated, I cant even imagine how you must feel.

Yea, from what i heard 240sx are pretty easy to steal. Suggestion is to get an alarm with starter killer and even an autolock (brake/pedal lock). MIKE, did you have any theft deterent devices on ur car?

unfortunately, I didn't, I have the FET quick release, no hub and steering wheel, and I was gonna pick up all that after Christmas. Funny how its all after the fact.

Honestly, I didn't did drive my car to popular areas much, mainly to work and home. Cousins place and junk like that. Me being in Pasadena out of all places, In front of my cousin's apt was the defeat in itself. Plus it was my fifth time being there too.

Lesson learned. Whoever took my crap, knew what they were getting into. Knew the wheels, and probably the exhaust. Ever since i had this car, no one really paid any attention to it, until now. bastards

Guys be extra careful with your car now a day. Just last night I parked my car in a gated community in ontario for an x-mas party. Lucky my friends walked out to make a phone call and spotted 2 random guys standing next to my car. They turned around and walked off like nothing happen. Then later they walked around again pass my car. Next thing you know i see 4 heads talking and looking at my car from 4 houses down. At that point i asked my friend to park the car in the driveway and leave the house door open. Lucky my car was safe after that night.

Still in limbo with the insurance company, and with the Pasadena police.

Still a waiting game, hopefully my insurance company will just cut me a freak'n check. Not sure what I want yet, Maybe a Lexus or another Nissan, Cant really make a real decision until everything is cleared.

Well folks, those of you that have been following up on this mess.

My car has be recovered from LAPD as of 12/30/06 and i was contacted from my insurance company on the 1/2/07. According to the insurance company the car was found somewhere in LA. That same I day i found out, i went to the inpound Lot and saw what those fuckers did to my car.

What was missing.
Wheels
Radio/speakers
headlights
personal crap.

Just like Justin (justified2.4) it wasnt too bad, but a nice kick in the nuts. At the current moment, My Car was release to my insurance company for them to check and see what's up .. no news yet but i'll keep everyone posted.

You lucked out, looking at whats missing in the car, looks like it was a random hit. If people were out for your car, they could have taken everything else of value. Just the front end since its a 97 is loot. If they were pros, you car would be gutted. Like stated, hidden kill switches on the relays will do alot more than any alarm out there thats installed by most regular places.
