How'd that sand manage to get blown all over the place? Hurricane?

Blizzard = high winds.

Looks like Fort Carson was situated just right.

Just south of here they closed down the interstate. And just a couple of miles north they got hammered with snow.

Thank God I don't have to shovel through that crap though.

Ft. Carson got only got a couple of inches, with very high winds.

Im on the northwest coast, pretty temperate. This year is a bit warmer then usual, 6-7 degrees Celcius (40-50F) every single day. I love snow because it rains almost every day where I live. We do have one of the nicest places in the world to ski/board, Whistler. Anyone been there?

Things should almost be back to somewhat normal by tomorrow. Lots of the main roads are already plowed and somewhat clear. Biggest issue for most people is getting out of their neighborhoods, those smaller streets might take an extra day.

I just hope the plows show up here later today/tonight. I need to get over to the data center to do some work on the server for you guys. :D

Actualy, any severe changes in weather could be part of global warming. =P

Like how this past year it was raining on and off for five months in california.

Snow seen in parts of sf and santa cruze.

All affects of global warming!

Nick: Year of '00 we had a snow storm in Raleigh and it shut the town down for almost a week. Hell we didnt have school for 2 weeks. Snowed like 2-3 ft and then rained for 4-5 days. Roads were covered with almost a 1' 1/2 of ice. Very interesting to see a Saturn or Honda out trying to navigate through. The old '97 4x4 Hardbody had no troubles though. Havent seen much snow here in a while. *a

Dude, we ARE in the east, I got hit with that same blizzard at the end of 95/early 96... I worked in a grocery store at the time, no school and the manager was willing to pick us up.
Hell, at age 16, I was stoked to not have to go to school and be home to make the money, I was all for it.

The earth is going through a natural warming trend so is it US or just a natural progression? thats the debate. There is tonnes of evidence on global warming but none that PROVES its us. for instance when the Pinatubo volcano blew its top it spewed something like 3x more carbon dioxide then the entire human race did that year and its ash covered the globe.

I just think theres pretty much nothing we can do about it and I don't want to panic unless doom is right over the horizon. The worlds been around a long time and im not sure if we have as much an effect on it as we think. That being said id be more worried about us raping the earth of its resources then global warming.

In NC, they scrape the major streets first, and the thoroughfares directly leading to hospitals and shit. The rest of the city waits until the fuck they get around to it.

Yeah right....the homeowner's association contractor sends a plow down the middle of the road....the rest is up to the homeowner to dig out. I finished digging yesterday morning and have 6 ft. high piles of snow on either side of the garage.

Well...its been a nice week snow free but the forcast for Thursday night is another 10-30" depending on where you are in CO. I work at Sears and we are already sold out of the snowthrowers that aren't due until Thursday night/Friday morning:tweak:

It would be nice to see snow in LA. I dunno why.

It's 8 PM and we already have 6 inches of snow on the ground. Supposed to snow all night and into tomorrow morning, let up a bit and then the next wave is supposed to hit tomorrow night. They say this could be worse than last week's storm.

Weather's been messed up here on the east coast. We got snow yesterday and the day before but it was the first real snowfall since winter began. If it's like this next year, i wont be putting my car away. Just put it in the garage when the weather is bad.

at least you have a garage to put it in! My brother has a house, yet has all his painting crap here in the garage. I started to clean it the other day, and I freed up about half the garage (before you could only walk from the door to the garage door, thats it. and the ONLY thing I did was break down boxes and put packing materials in bags...my brother is a packrat LOL
