Slammed means lowered to all fuck on coilover suspension tucking some tire and changing your driving route to accomodate your car. Angled driveways are not your friends.

Minimum wheel size to post in this thread 16" for S14, 15" for S13.
Myspace angles don't count, neither do jacking up one side of the car or parking on angled pavement.

If your harnesses haven't been relocated and/or your wheel tubs/frame rails haven't been beaten down, you're not low.

Can you stick your dick between your fender and tire? You're not low.

Make excuses for your ride height? (I daily drive it, I bleed for a week once a month, etc) You don't belong in this thread.

does my car qualify? this is actually a really old pic and i had it lower than this usually. once i hit the exhaust so hard on a manhole cover I thought it ripped the turbo off. The entire exhaust was bent so bad it had to be replaced completely, from the turbo back

I'll get new pics soon, kind of dark and hard to see. Front sway bar is about 1 3/4" off the ground, bumper eats shit everywhere around here. The rear needs to go down a little bit more after new tires get put on.

Suspension = stance, multi link, etc. Scraggley ass roll and pull all around.

As you know, the works9/supermade car has baller lipped minervas. Now, on the aero, i went with the lip since imo it looks cleaner than the full bumper and my LM's arent pansy wheels, but i'm wondering if its gonna flow.....

i dont really care either way, but i have been getting a little more curious about it the closer it gets to paint time.

these fronts are 10 -3, my old ones were 10 -7, and those were a little sunk, i was thinking of going to -15 cause i can get half inch plates for like 10 bucks, but i dont really want the retarded scrub and ill probably have to crank my caster to death to keep it out of the firewall, plus steering rack gets enough of a workout as it is.

Im guessing your car is the S14 because of your old wheels, so your gonna have room. Im running same wheel but -16 and wheels sticks past the fender on origin widebody. Thats on my friends car, those tires are way to big but you can see and idea of how they fit, the car was still on a jack because the tire was gonna crack the fender.

Yah I did buy the car from Andy Cheng...

Car was dope when I got it... but needed some work. It was completely taken apart, caged, new engine lines, paint, rewired, basically converted to a track car. As he owned it... it was a daily driver that wasn't complete. I took all the HKS goodies off his hands with the car, finally installed them along with some other accessories and done. It was more than an amazing base to start with!

Sorry to turn this into Jay's car thread shit... But I'm posting the before and after pics just so it's clear that YES I did buy Andy's S14 and blah blah blah... but when he owned it... it was FAR from how it sits now... though most of you won't notice the difference and will just say it was repainted LOL

Guys the car isn't perfect... and I'm not being modest. Yeah it has a ton of stuff on it that I WANTED etc, but I built it for me. Everyone is on their own budget and everyone has their own taste... this is mine and I'm glad that most of you like it. But there are people that do have other opinions that I respect as well... especially knowing how it was in high school to build my first S14 KA-T... if you saw my cars back then in 97 they were much like the cars that everyone bags on and why I usually don't post unless I have something constructive to say or help with (OR SELL LOL).

Point(s) of this post are... the reason why I didn't post pics of the tear down, build up, finished product is because I didn't want anyone saying I was showing off or whoring the car out because I'm not like that. I also wanted to try and make a point that I do what I do for myself and what everyone thinks shouldn't matter. Progress is good to show yes, but I was trying to debut this car with a bang at D1GP... it was my goal and I achieved what I was aiming for (Aaron and a few others know what this is). Just do what you do for yourself and everything is cool... doesn't matter where you are on the globe... everyone has their own style and nobody sets the standard unless the majority makes it so!

Thanks guys, I've not write everything, I've only do a fast test fit for see how they will look on the car, front had still the 20 mm spacer bolted on that will be obviously taked out. I think they fill fit without the spacer, at least on the left side (right sit more out and I don't know why, I'll work out something).
The rear fender will be redone or modified, I think in the previous work the bodyshop did it too high!! maybe add some steel, still don't know..
and yes! I don't need spacer up front to clear the caliper, maybe wheels are some big caliper offset or something..
DA sticker because I sold DA stuff in italy:)
Italian nissanpeople all say that those wheels are bad than gramlight..ahahah..
Now I don't need any other wheels finally!:angel:

Could lower the rear more but I need to roll the fenders more. Bomex bumper is a terrible show of how low this car is. With the proper VS II bumper, it's about 1" of clearance. Whatever, excuses. Fuck that. :blah: It will get lower.

Well lowered the front some more but unfortunately it is to damn low. Love the look but I already hammered the inside fender wells and it is still rubbing like crazy. And on my way to a car meet last night my front crossmember caught a nice rut in the road and scared the s#@$ out of me. Now she is about 1/4" higher than this. And I finally got my kouki blinkers YEAH!!!!!!

Oooh I spoke too soon, stolen from nico.

So the problem with a lowered car is the chance of something hitting the oil pan. The stock cover doesnt really do anything so I started searching for a skid plate, found one, but was pretty expensive, soo I figured I'd make my own.

To start off, I took one of the many signs I have around my house,

Next I just mounted it up

and then found out where I needed to bend it

took it off then measured it, drew a line and took it to the nearest flat edge (which happend to be the pillar between garage doors

Red Square's car is kinda cool... everyone has their own taste. Show cars are show cars I guess and if he's onto mountains or whatever, I just want to know his secret of keeping the rock chips and shit away... cuz I took mine up to the mountains almost as soon as I got it back together and chipped the front bumper, side skirt and rear bumper and never went off at all.

i use glossy black tape where its prone to chip. just get a sheet of black or clear sticker, cut the shape, and slap it on. and as far as the my show car quality front bumper, its not painted, lol. if it was painted it would chip like crazy. hint: black resin does not chip as easily as paint.

would go lower lower but then i couldnt event get into the garage without taking my sideskirts off
and couldnt do ANY driveways because id have less then 1 shoe (converse) height between sideskits and pavement
