I just dynoed my car last night at school. I was just wondering what people was dynoing on a stock T25 with no internal work done. With bolt ons. HP and Torque

Oh, I thought the question was "Why are you dynoing a T25." Never mind...

I dynoed 245hp on 12-15psi just wanted to see what everyone was creating on that baby turbo. I dynoed because it is free to me at school if you are wondering why i would waste my time on a t25

w/
3'' turbo back rsr
greddy intcooler kit
boost controller
safcII
thats about it for power wise

I hope your adjusted your afr's to account for the added boost.

howbout whats ppl dynoing on a t25, that wont blow up and has been driven reliably for over 6 months...

This is a good thread for ppl considering an SR... like me kinda... RELIABLE is the key word. Thnx

i believe t25's dont pass the 250 hp range. though there are always rare cases

So where is the DYNO CHART, VIDEO ETC???

245? NO TIMING, ACTUALLY TRASH TIMING?? (AFCII), for whatever reason, i am just a little skeptical.

The setup from a friend's ka-t on a mustang dyno was 215hp 235tq at sea level. This was with a tuned ecu, ~7psi, stock maf, sr20 injectors, and catless straight pipe.

power wise, the only thing that really added power was your exhaust and boost controller, and maybe a few from the safc lol

A frined of mine with a S13 SR in a S14.
Stock injector, stock T-25 with a Power FC and the usual FMIC, intake, dp, stock mani and GT-spec exhaust...258 whp 205 ftlbs.

umm, what kind of dyno did you run on?? it just looks to me that someone didnt know how to operate/setup that dyno.. just last week I made a trip down to a local mustang dyno and pulled off 211hp and 220trq WFC @10psi.. on a t25.. and my actual rating was 198whp 206trq.. at 10psi being my peek boost..
mods:
80mm exhaust
boost controller
fmic

only reason I got the dyno was to get a base line, ive got a s15 t28 and all the trimmings sitting at home.. just waiting on my tomei manifold..
the pudding..(sorry for the shitty quailty of the scans)

I made 239WHP and 243 Torque at the weels at 1 bar. Stock t25, strait 3in pipe, fmic, greddy filter.

I've dynoed a couple T25 SR's around 250hp.

If you're not hitting 250hp on the T25, then you need to do some work.

This is with just SAFC and/or tuned ROM ECU's.

I made 232hp on my T25. I don't remember the torque, but it was at 13/14 psi.
My mods are:
FMIC
MR Turbo manifold
Intake
HKS SQV BOV
3" Elbow
3" exhaust cutout
80mm Exhaust
SAFC II
Nismo FPR
255 Fuel pump
Denso Spark plugs 2 steps colder

i made 217whp and 211 wtq on a mustang dyno at 13psi on my t25 with basic bolt ons and a afcII tune. and i was told that mustang dyno's are 20-30whp less then a dynojet

Blue is 3rd gear pull, Red is 4th gear pull.
How come my lines are so smooth compare to others?

Guess we all settled that!! ^^^^^ great input from your peers man:bigok: Dyno sheets should say alot.

kaotic
12-20-2006, 09:42 PM
true, dyno sheets do say a lot... but each dyno will give different results, elevation.. outside temp.. humidity.. it all plays a role in what type of power youre able to put out.. not to mention some dynos just giving out wack numbers.. for example.. I ended up talking with the dude that ran my test, and he told me about a V8 guy who came in braging about how his "beast" puts down 650hp.. after 3 pulls on the mustang dyno, he topped out at 475whp.. so the guy talked all types of shit about how on this other dyno blah blah blah..

clutch kick drifter - there is what you say, and what I can see.. im sorry but the fact you claim to have made that without a slip.. it holds no water.. also.. correct me if im wrong but 1 bar is equal to 15psi? so youre running roughly 5 psi more than me.. and im at 2,500 feet.. everyone that ive talked to normally says I put out some good numbers.. I guess im wrong?

DrIvEsldEwAyS - from what the guy told me that ran my test is that theres really no number that you can put on for a "difference" between a mustang dyno and a dynojet.. the guy with the "beast" V8 ran on a dynojet.. so.. lol

nrg - if my scanner wasnt so crappy youd see mine is smoother than yours!! from what the guy told me when I had mine is that SRs power curve is the smoothest hes ever seen.. want to see one jacked up power curve? take a look at a tuned wrx.. or s4

You can't compare completely stock engines to tuned engines with fuel mods for how much power the turbo will put out. Just because your engine cannot support 250hp, doesn't mean that turbo won't.

Get some fuel on that thing, crank the boost to 15psi and it will rip.

Besides, numbers are just that... numbers. What matters is how a car runs. Dyno to dyno, car to car, day to day, run to run.... the numbers will vary. The best thing you can do with a dyno is check your power on the same one under the same conditions as you make changes, then you can somewhat quantify gains you're making.

A stock turbo SR20DET with stock injectors at 10psi VS injectors, AFC, etc... at 15psi is night and day.

Good for you for not cranking the shit out of your boost without anything to support it. Your engine will stay together for a long time. I would run it up to at least 12psi myself, though. (thats what I did)

lol i did 235 and 230 tq. with my stock t25...other than that just a downpipe, 3in. exhaust, boost controller, fmic, 255lph, and safc. Its not that hard to make decent whp with the t25, just gotta know how to tune;)

Stock everything, + worse than stock exhaust (exhaust from stock 240sx), + loose cold pipe = 145hp
... still faster than stock hondas :fawk:

Fixing alot of its problems next month when I have money. Needs clutch, tranny seals, and labor of love. **Platic cold pipe sucks, haven't been able to find a stock metal/alum replacement.
