I need new tires for my S14. I have stock SE wheels. Right now im running bridgestone potenza RE950 205/55/16. I was wondering what other tires are good out there that are at a good price. Im a little tight on money. I was thinking about those Fuzion ZR1 tires. What do you think of running 225's in the back instead of the 205's?? Or even 215 in the front 225 in the back?

Tight on money, just get some federal 595. I run these on the back and they have pretty good grip when new. I run Neovas in the front.
Front is 215-45-17 rear is 225-45-17

Federal SS595 -
i thought the fk452 replaced the 451 and st115???
rt615s are good street tires but they get slick when they get hot-and they arent exactly cheap since they are a competition-ish tire
its obvious ur looking for a inexpensive tire (fuzion poop) so id say federal ss595 and stay 215 : 225 prolly looks funny.

I'm running Kuhmo 712s 215/50 16 on mine. I got them for free. I'm planning on putting on Bridgestone RE050A 225/50 16 for the next set unless I buy some R33 wheels soon. I don't like skimping on tires. :2f2f:

^^^^ Why is that? Why not 225 50 ? I was just reading about them on tire rack and they say that they are some shitty tires and there not good. I guess im going to give them a try!

i cant understand you... but i think you said you think they suck but ur getting them anyway?
question one: Do you actually go to the track?
A: Yes, then get nice tires
A: No, get all season tires.
205/55/16 are a great size thats what i'm running.
Personally I dont give a shit about tires. i go dig used tires out of dealerships and burn them off at the track because its free. I've gone through about 40 free tires. That adds up at 100 bucks a pop if you're buying nice tires aswell. Take that into consideration.

well 225 50 will be fine. I run 20mm spacers so I have no problem of rubbing. This is something that you'll need to examine when you get them. People don't like them for various reasons. Kind of like the same reasons why I don't like other brands as well. It's your choice over someone else's opinions. I like BS period. That's why I get them. Their reputation preceeds them as a great racing tire brand in F1, JGTC...Yes, the price is dropping on them as they are bringing in the new line which is the RE050A Pole Positions. Not much diff. imo.

Will you go to the track occasionally? choose Falken RT-615. The previous model, RT-215 has proved to be one of the best street tires at the track (aside from temperature issues). The RT-615 has improved in all categories, and is probably the best non-R compound tire you can get.
If it's just for a good street tire for daily driving, I'd get any decent all-season (Bridgestone comes to mind) one or a summer tire with good wet performance.

Its for everyday use and I live in LA. I figured out what tires im gonna get but I want to know what size to get. If I get 205/55/16 and get 225/50/16 in the rear will the stance be even? Anyone have pics with this set up?

Then I would just stick with P205/55R16 for a better price and the convenience of still being able to rotate them when the time comes. (not that you couldn't if they were different sizes, but you know what I mean)
Oh and yes, those two sizes are the sizes that come out to be the closest overall diameter. Pics between those and 205 all around will not vary much at all.
