well i read through previous posts to see how to reset the ECU. you guys said to unplug the battery for several hours and i also heard you could try to unplug the ecu itself. well i did both those things for about 3-4 hours each and the check engine light is still on. i had a buddy say to look for the fuse for the ecu and unplug that for a bit but i cant find an ecu fuse. so if that is true, where is the ecu fuse and if not is there another way to reset it without having to pay to have it done?

You have to do what i did... pull off the passenger kickpanel, and reset the ECU manually.
Basically, you look into your front passenger area. To the right, where the feet would be, there's a plastic wall. You can pull that off. Then, you'll see the ECU. Basically, you'll have to keep unscrewing stuff and pulling stuff apart so you can get to the reset screw. When you get to it, turn on the car's ignition without starting the engine. Next, turn the reset screw all the way clockwise as you can...wait 2 seconds... turn it fully counter-clockwise. Look at your engine check light because it will blink you the error it found. For example, if the error is #12, it will blink once, pause, then blink twice.
When you're done looking at the error code, turn the reset screw fully clockwise again, then back counterclockwise, to its original position. Turn off the car, then turn it back on. Check to see if the engine check is still there.
