hey...i was woundering if any one knew the paint code or name for the works 9 s14....

its HOK candy red i think, but candies can't be copied easily, they change depending on how they are sprayed. And candies look a lot different in person than behind a lens.

I don't think thats candy red but as stated earlier candies vary a lot. My car is HOK candy red and it looks more like their brandy wine color. That car looks like the Tangerine candy possibly. i doubt anyone in the US will have that color code, prolly only works 9.. are you mind set on wanting the exact color code? Id say go take a picture to whoever and get something simular and be happy lol

haha yah thats my backup plan :bigok:...but i was hopeing the car was featured in a mag/site/ect...and someone remembered the paint colour

well mine is a mix of candy apple and brandy wine red..... i wanted a darker red. from that pic it looks like a cherry or candy apple red .... it seems to be quite orangy in that pic but i know my monitor setting are crewed up. the best bet would be to go to your local HOK store/shop and im sure they will be able to tell you which shade of red that is. mind you HOK kandy colours are very different in pics. i know when i use a flash on my car it looks orange. if theres no sun outside when i take pics it looks like a very dark red.

yah it is orangy.....thats what im hoping to go for...yah i knowtist the orange in the picts with the flash :rawk: ....

yes, my color was an attempt at works9 red, it strayed away from it and i:m happier with the variation. coming in hot and nasty is some works9 aero too baby doll :)

Obviously the paint is candy red, but go to your local paint supplier and run through the HOK book if House of Kolor is what you want. You can look at all the different shades of the candy red depending on which base paint is used (silver, gold, etc.) A gold base coat tends to give the car a darker tint of red where as the silver is brighter. Also, how the car is sprayed will greatly depend on how the color will come out from what I understand.

ive seen it in person
pics make it look tad different
but either way you can get it close and it would still look great
