Does D1 stop if it rains? I wouldn't think so but, I thought I'd check before I make the drive out there... It's supposed to rain Saturday and Sunday, if they call it off I'm gonna be pissed.
Anyone know the details?

^damn takumi. When was this? i havent heard that story yet.
=]
I used to have a bunch of D1 VHS tapes from back around 2001-02
There were a couple rounds run while it was snowing. I think it was Ebisu and possibly Sekia hills?
In the D1 crash DVD, you can see it snowing a couple times, like when Haraguichi almost backs over the cameraman.

Awesome, I just didn't know if it would be different because it is being held in the states. Or if Irwindale would allow it and whatnot.
But if it's on, I'm there. See you folks in the stands. :hsdance:

no, it will go down for sure... all they care about is making teh cash and racking up teh dough, thats why the spread it accross 2 days becuase they know people will pay to see it.. and this is irwindale, with its hard concrete walls. the media loves it, the crowd loves it.. and the fatcats getting thier pockets filled love it.
so yah, i doubt anything would stop it.
edit- then again, if it came to a puring downfall of rain, being a closed track, not much places the water could runn off except the downfield
im prolly jus gonna go on sunday to see the euro guys.

It's all about making buddies with the vendors so they're willing to hook you up with the coilovers, wheels, and cage you want.
For me, at least. Other experiences may vary.
