I have a Blitz URAS FATT. It's used, and it came with the harness. I plugged everything up, grounds + e-brake wire + ignition harness plugs.

I crunk the car up, and when I tried to cut it off (with the e-brake up), I couldn't get the key out of the ignition and the car stayed on. The display on the TT didn't work either, and it started kind of smelling like hot plastic. I unplugged it, and the car cut off. I re-plugged it, and crunk the car up, now it just cuts right off and the TT still doesn't even power on.

Is it toast? This problem was almost enough to make me just buy a brand new one instead of buying another one used...

Also, I can't find a *good* ground for it. I see lots of plastic inside, but nothing large and metal. Im HOPING the grounding is the problem...

I have an apexi auto timer, and the instructions said to hook my ground to the ecu ground. If yours doesnt work that way, maybe you could ground it to the plate for the rubber boot on the stick shift or somewhere in that area?

The grounding wires (there's 2 of them) don't even reach very far. Jeez...this sucks. Also, can the grouding wires touch each other, as long as their grounded?

it shouldnt be a problem to ground both wires in the same place, where are you trying to ground it at? you could always get another piece of wire and extend it to the ecu. If I were you i wouldnt worry about the e brake wire until you know it works. I would just connect the power, ground, and ignition wires to see if the display turns on. If it doesnt just go get a cheap one if your low on cash, like the apexi pen timer which usually sells for under $100
