valve cover gasket

anyone know the torque specs on a valve cover gasket? are there any? i'm about to put a new one on because the old one broke.. i wanna make sure that doesnt happen to this one.

ohh it's on a redtop sr20

not much, just barely tight (a little more than hand tight)

Yeah, it's in the 1-8 lbs/ft region.

Check the FSM, the detailed instructions are on page EM-30.

NOTE: The instructions in the SR20 FSM are for the S14 Blacktop which differs slightly from the redtop valve cover. The torque ratings should be the same but the tightening sequence is different.
