First off i searched and didn't find what IM looking for, i know the part number and i understand the trannys are all the same, for the most part.

So i have a s13 with a redtop sr20 swap. I just replaced my clutch and i replaced what i think is the output shaft seal. If I'm correct that is the small black seal that goes into the end on the tranny where the driveshaft goes into, or is that called the input shaft seal. If I'm correct on the part what is the input shaft seal?. I did not use a nissan part, i bought one from a local parts store. Tonight i replaced that real i put on because it was leaking. And i got the same spec output shaft seal that nissan tells you to use. Still leaks. I also found the shifter bushing i didn't have. But i drove it for 15 means and noticed it is very hard to shift into different gears whale I'm moving. It goes in fine if i shift fast but makes a minute grinding sound. I'm thinking i might have put the shifter back in wrong. But please don't tell me its my sincros that went out. So I'm going to take my drive shaft out to make sure its not pitted, but what seal is the correct one for my car? Input, output? This is my dd and i don't want to be stuck without a car any longer. ohh and do i need a dust cover for my drive shaft? Because i don't have one.

ok..I will try to help you out as much as i can.

First of all. Did you drive your car after the clutch was installed? I recently had the same problem with one of my customer car. After we swapped in the new clutch, it was really hard for me to put into gear. We found out later that the company shipped him the wrong clutch. The clutch they sent him is too thick and causing the tranny to not engage correctly. It's hard for you to put into gear because the tranny inside is still spinning. It's not stopping for the shifter to go into gear. What i would do is double check the clutch again, look up the part # and make sure it's the right one. I hope that help.

I drove the car after I put the clutch in for about a week, every thing felt normal until I installed a shifter bushing. Now there's no play in the shifter but now its hard to shift. Do I need to adjust my clutch pedal? Because I noticed in the morning when its worming up the rpms are lower in neutral when I let out the clutch pedal compared to when I hold it down.
