Ive heard that its like 10hp gain, but thats just what ive heard never seen any proof of it..
And where'd you hear this 10hp myth? Try more like 1/10 of a horse... okay that might be an exaggeration. 1 or 2hp is the max that I can imagine you'd get just from taking off the clutch-type fan. Remember that electrical fans will be drawing current.

5-8 hp, depending on your engine status

Fans do use up an aweful lot of power. Pulling the clutch fan should prove to be a noticable difference, nothing groundbreaking though.

I've been thinking about doing this mod and now that my clutch fan is crapped out i'm pretty sure i'm gonna do it. Only problem is I dont know how 2 do it properly. I've seen a faq on wiring for the s14 on 240sx.org Will this be the same for my s13 ? I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to this mechanic stuff but i'm trying to do EVERYTHING on my car myself. Am I gonna be able to do this ? How long will my car be out of comission ?

Can the fan be replaced w/ pulleys installed?

your car will be down for like 5-30 mins max.
the fan is on a pully. u just take those 4 nuts off ( you have to keep the fan still, i used a flat head screwdriver as a wedge ) and then put the 4 nuts back on, and the fan is eliminated. i ran my fan to a switch in the cockpit, but it'd be smarter to run it to a temp sensor, so it cuts on only when its needed... just make sure u do it right or you'll over heat.
