Question About the BOV and Hot and cold sides of Intercooler Set up

Ok latley i have been thinking if i was to be taking the Bov on a Stock SR set up (with the Stock intercooler and pipe) and changing to a HKS SSQV BOV then what i have noticed is that it dosent really sound all that loud on the cold side of the inter cooler pipeing but will it be louder if its on the Hot side. Thats how my setup is right now untill my FMIC gets here in a few days.

Same goes with A FMIC set up

my Qustion is: Will the bOV be louder if its on the Hot side instead of the cold side?

Any advice would be appreciated

when i had my SR it was louder on the hotside.

And because the looks on people faces when you pull up right beside them man i love it.

hot or cold side, doesn't mater. s13 redtop has bov placement on hot side, s14/s15 has bov on cold side. pipe has the same pressure on either end anyways.

If you recirc the bov it will be quieter.

Mine is plenty loud on the cold side, and I might recirc so its more quiet so people cant hear it as well

i ran mine on the hot side...wasnt really loud then i actually took apart the hks ssq and found out that it had a hole in the bladdar....changed the bov and plenty loud....maby check that out?

yea its more responsive on the cold side, aka will blow off sooner than the hot side, but if u want just sound then it doesnt really matter, its not there to make noise its there to help discharge air to prevent compressor surge...
