hay I'm having a serious ignition problem with my 240sx the car idles fine its a smooth idle, but the problem I'm have is it doesnt pull all the way to redline, there is a poping in the exaust as if its missing, and it was trying to stop when i was just cruising on the high way but that went away when i change dist. cap, button, and plug wires. I thought it might have been the maf and computer but I change those an it was doing the same thing so can some please help me out

Do you smell gass, is it running rich? Check or change your 02 censer, that will cause back fire.

Well same has happened to me but on like take off from the light i get some smoke and i do smell gas and i'm shootn gas lol. Guess i'll go check out my O2 then. Any other suggestions?

try checking your fuel pressure and test the relay for your fuel pump, it definatly sounds like a fuel or timing problem

could be a bad injector o-ring or a bad injector.

typical symptoms: your car runs rough, blows out bluish fumes that smell like gas (gas diluted oil getting into combustion chamber), you smell gas from the oil filler cap and your oil smells like gas when you drain it.

i had the same problem on my car, it was the knock sensor

and also just because there new parts doesnt always mean there good, i have replaced parts with brand new ones before and they ended up being bad

thanks for the help guys. i appreciate it. I'll check my oil filler cap and see. and when i change my oil.
