Someone plz HELP ME

I got a 1989 240sx, and I dont like sohc. So I got a 1995 240sx parts car. I pulled the engine and installed it into my 240. I got everything installed power steering lines, ac, and most the wires.

My problem is that on the fuse box there is 3 female wires that dont plug into the 3 male ends I got. Has anyone done this swap and can help me out? Out if the 7 wires (at the fuse box) I got 3 that dont plug in.
MAN PLZ HELP!!!

If your car was originally a 5 spd just use the lower harness from it, and put it onto the 95 motor. See i did a 5spd swap in my 93 and i used a 95 motor and tranny, then i used a 5spd tranny/lower harness from a 1990 sohc and it worked, i just had to switch some wires around. Specifically the wiring for the speed harness and a wire for the alternator.

you cant use a s14 harness in a s13 without a buncha crap changed over. just buy an s13 harness and make your life easy.

Trial and Error, or look at the wiring diagram, from the 95 motor.
See what plug goes where, and its purposes.

hope that helps man.

Anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong, ive only done an sr swap, but on the sr like 99% of the wires colors matched up, so it might be like that for the sohc to dohc. Again, feel free to correct me if im wrong. But if it were me, id verify the wiring diagram like everyone above said and cut sohc connectors and splice onto the dohc wiring harness.

dont cut them just use your stock sohc harness.

Bingo. Use the existing harness.

some wire colors even match up between my r32 RB20 and my S14. . . Nissan is pretty consistant like that. Always check to make sure, though.

But use the existing harness, it is better that way.

yeah that works too. The only reason i said to use the dohc harness was cause i presumed u would be swapping ecus, but they are probably the same and the underdash harnesses might be a little different so the sohc harness would probably be the easiest to do and just swap the connectors to the engine. but like everyone else has said, make sure to verify everything with schematics.

Wait...So use the complete sohc wiring harness? Not the dohc one? Is that posiable?
