Well there is no suspension or newb forum, so i decided to ask for help here. Hope i dont get flamed, i havnt posted on zilvia very much, so i dot know what the community is like.

I have been in need of coilovers for about 8 or 9 months now, and i finally came up with enough money to make a purchase. I got over tein about a year ago, and starting looking into some other companies. The one that really caught my eye is Yashio Factory, but its very hard to find information on their coilovers (i know that they are a superior version of HypermaxII), and the price is quite high. I couldnt find a set for less than 2500! thats a lot of money to spend on a product you dont know much about. I have also been looing at the JIC FLT-A2, and maybe (most likely not) Cusco. I just dont know that i should be making this big of a purchase, without fully understanding what i should be looking for in a coilover. Could someone give me their input on good spring rates and specs. I want a car that will perform on the track, but wont be incredibly uncomfortable (i still have to take my girlfriend out with the car lol). So I guess im looking for a good street setup. If you have any experience with these brands or any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
thanks,

Sean

Look into Stance coilovers. If you want only the ballerist of the baller shit, then go zeal.

But the way it sounds, go stance.

As for your whole daily driver issue. It all depends on the type of gf you have. Some don't care. While others complain about stock suspension.

Oh yeah, and you should've searched. :P

i did, but i had trouble finding out about helper springs, and came up with mostly advertisment information, rather than first hand experience with these coilovers, mainlyYF.

Tanabe Sevens. Super stiff even on soft, and very smooth and comfortable to ride in on any setting.
