I had an excellent recommendation from someone a while ago regarding which speaker setup would be best to install in my '97 S14. Now that I have the bulk of my interior finished, I've lost the message and don't recall where it was posted.

Nevertheless, I want to have a high quality sound without an exorbitant price. I don't drive the car that often so there is no point in me plunking down big money for this. As for quality I don't necessarily listen to my stereo at a loud level either. In fact, I often listen to it at a very modest/quiet level, but would like for it to impress should the need arise. Therefore, clarity of sound is important. If anyone has any recommendations or can recall the/any post to which I am referring, I would love to hear from you.

Looking forward to your input.

well component speakers with a boss 4 channel amp would be great for a budgit. how much are you willing to spend?

you can go with 2 sets of Polk Audio db Series db675
and a Boss Chaos CH350 and bridge all 4 speakers.

and if you want a sub. its all up to you how much thump you want.
my friend has 2 of these 10s in his car and they hit prety hard.
Rockford Fosgate Punch PL1-112
slap a Boss Riot GT1000M on the sub and you should be good.

im sure you can find great prices by shoping around. i added it all togeather from just one sight and it was a little under $500

How do the Polk Audio db Series compare to the Infinity 6010cs and Alpine 17c2?
