Alright.. so..
Under LOAD and I don't mean boost, I mean LOAD...
it leans out.. to fuck. (AFRs)
*if I mash, the AFRs go to respectable values
and something that suffers from voltage issues changes my AFRs by 2 points. I can make it rich or lean by turning on/off my headlights under certain (random) times. (I have hardwired my fuel pump with 12 gauge wires)
Is anyone local a baller with electrical stuff?
Can you have a MAFS be kinda bad? Or is it just working or not working?
*also, I have one ground to body and one to harness ground (ZMAF install)
Also, can a leaky valve cover cause vacuum-like issues? I'm only using a breather filter on the VC breather tube.
SETUP DETAILS: (for those who don't know)
KA24DET
garrette .50 trim 63a/r
tial 35mm wastegate
SSQV
550s, walboro, FMIC that has been pressure tested... (*might try to test it again)

yay for reading/not helping!!

watch ur voltage when stuff happens, i had a bad alternator that would work like %60 of the time, but it didnt get good output till like 5000rpm, changed it out, my proplems were good.

fuck man, you got problems. Did you test the Maf? I would look into getting another ECU/Rom tuneing device. Sounds like the biki is fucked. That or maybe upload some different base maps? Just a thought
You can awlays get a SR and not worry about this shit..lol pwoned.

the MAF wires are 2 wires in one if I remember. One shielded around another.
Make sure if you did some splic'n that you didnt get them touching each other, because yeah, that would throw things off to the ECU.

Have you tried cleaning the MAF? But I have to agree with "ryan hagen". Get your alternator checked. Autozone or O'Reilys will check them for free. I am a BIG believer in eliminating the little stuff first.

Its not the ECU/tuning.. the maps are fine.
I'm gonna clean the MAF and I guess I'll ahve the alt checked.
Will update soon.

i d check voltages and check the maf wireing, but if a voltage consumer being on or off changes things your having a output or draw issue.

just cause the maps are right doesnt mean the hardware is implimenting them correctly....just a thought.
I just keep thinking about you using matts ECU and your car running a whole lot better.

Awh man, I was going to say the Wastegate is stuck open. He had the same issue

I'm gonna shoot the MAFS tomorrow with some cleaner.. double check the grounds n stuff.. but I soldered the connections so I'm pretty sure they're legit.
-Where would you check voltages?
Matt's ECU ran good for a while.. still semi rich at times, but I only used it for a little while. My car runs good randomly for long periods of time.
Its not the engagement of the biki-board or I'd have more serious issues. I've looked into this and even asked Mr.BadBiki Lucas himself.
I can't use his ECU as a benchmark 'cuz I didn't get to use it enough to tell. When I re-plugged in my ECU on the way home.. it ran perfect too.
Who had the same issue? So you think i should check the WG spring? Wouldn't my boost gauge read retarded if that were happening? I build boost properly so I dont' think so.

Check the Resistance on the MAF and the TPS from the FSM, but yeah check your alternator and your posts make sure there clean. make sure your main ground (batt to intake manifold) and rear ground (rear hook to firewall) are both there and it cant help to add another 2-4 in some nice 8 guage wire from your local stereo shop, check for boost leaks too, a breather on your valve cover isnt gonna do anything bad, if you get really stuck i can come look at it but im in OC

TPS readings are legit.
MAFS resistance values compares identical to my friends ZMAF too..
I was gonna do the grounding kit but I really wanted to find the source of the problem and not patch it up by grounding everything.
I've tested the piping and it doesn't seem to leak. My boost gauge reads steady at idle and holds under boost..

Also, can a leaky valve cover cause vacuum-like issues? I'm only using a breather filter on the VC breather tube.
i remember reading somewhere in my fsm, where it says to MAKE SURE that the valve cover is properly sealed. IDK, to me vacuum leaks do suck. source that problem also and handle it w/ some silicone adhesive

yah.. I RTV'd it and put a gasket on as per FSM.. but its leaking 'cuz I see oil coming out.
I might've crushed the gasket.

fix what you know is bad, dont try and fix something yor not sure, untill the known bad are fixed, would suck in the end if that acutally fixed it, huh?
anyways the maf, should have the sig wire, sig ground, 5 v ref, and ground, if that guy earlier was right and said there was a wire wrapped arund another, then that is a shielding method, to block electrical noise, as you were stating on zt ( im not registered but jsut look at the open forums) shit get crazy witht the head lights.
