so i searched and found nothing. so my delema is i'm putting an injen intake on my 91 240 and i have a few questions. there is an extra vacume line that the intake doesnt have a hole/acceptor for. is this the ac? second the vacume from the block is to short and i need a loner one, i know that one is needed for the car to run and i will attach that one, so what the hell do i do with the other one?(the one i think is ac) also the intake is short on the other side and the vacume that went into the maf before no longer reaches and i need a longer one. just checking if thats normal before i go and buy a replacement.

any help would be great because i need 2 get 2 work sometime today so this has to be finished.

thanks evan

EDIT: it is running now via new hoses and t connector.
check my last post for updates

There shouldn't be a vacuum line for your AC. I don't remember 100% because its been a while since I've seen a stock intake.

I know one goes to the idle control valve.. which would explain why your car dies.

There shouldn't be a vacuum line going to your MAF either.

Why in hell would you think the A/C system needs vacuum?

Small port for EGR, larger one for IACV/IAA. One in front of the MAF is for AIV, and one port for the secondary resonator on the underside of the bend. Those are the ones found on S13s, if yours is any S14 you won't have the last two.

We can't tell exactly where the line goes unless we see it, but why don't you try and follow it to where it goes?

Any vacuum leak will cause the engine to idle badly, or even kill it. Get a vacuum Tee and connect both. And make sure you get a new hose for the one that is too short. The vacuum lines are there for a reason.

i dotn know why in the hell the ac would need one. i just had no idea to where i went, it went under the engine and i didnt feel like fallowing it all the way and/or i couldnt i.d. what it went to. it was just a guess and a wrong one at that

and thank you for all of the info on what they are all for i appriciate that

thats what i did and it works just fine. and after having fun with my moms sab turbo to go get it i might just say fuck suspension work and go kat!!!!!!!!

only other thing is that it seems a lil slugish and unresponsive under 3k. like it doesnt wana go...then @about 3k she really wants to go. any insite? should i just run some carb cleaner or w.e it is thru there?

SO TRUE!

and.. why are u knockin r240, when you said your too lazy to chase your own vaccum line to see why your engine runs shitty, take the 1min. to pull your head outta your ass get off the forum and find where it goes and fix it. how the hell else will you learn?

^agreed, however you make zilvia.net look like a bunch of pricks when you answer like that.

^ are you saying this is untrue? most are, that is not to say that there are not some good guys on here. i did fallow the line back behind the block and couldnt id waht it went to.....so i guessed, incorrectly.

so as far as suspension goes i want the rsr ishock or even stance setup but i dont have 1400 to drop on suspension, or i rather spend 750 on ksports or megans and spend the rest on links, like rucas, etc.

No, Zilvia just doesn't like to spoon-feed people information they can find for themselves in less time than it takes for them to make a stupid thread, such as this one.

Which is why Russ doesn't like you.

so are you just going to guess where to put the turbo on your KA-T, too?
